@@SmokeMonster Hopefully Faster than Speed and Maximum Speed will make there way to the DC but really looking forward to Dolphin Blue. I have covered that game in my video and it's such a beautiful game as I saw you were looking forward to that as well. That's a game I feel everyone should experience. This will most likely never happen but if they ever port Scud Race and Daytona USA 2 to the Dreamcast, that would be amazing but I know Model 3 games would be a task so I'm not expecting it but Scud Race was released in 1996 so it might be possible? IDK but if not the Atomiswave conversions are highly appreciated in and of themselves.

@@SmokeMonster isn't that the wonderful truth! I've never owned a console since the DC. Don't get me wrong, I've played plenty of the games, but I never had the sheer joy I had from the retro machines. I am very thankful that I was born and brought up in that era, rather than now. Most people I speak to about the brilliance of retro just laugh. Poor fools. I've got a Fenrir Duo ODE for my Saturn recently. Seriously can't wait to get Metal Slug up and running.

Use a separate full sized sd card with just the Atomiswave games and make sure to update your .ini file. They all work perfect on my gdemu clone.

I too agree with this. I have played the Japanese version of all the Atomiswave SNK games that were ported to PS2 and the play perfectly. It is known that the NA versions of at least KOFXI and NGBC are a bunch of lag in them. Stay away from the NA releases on PS2, and get the JP versions.

Maybe the lack of foresight to add DVD support/DVD player to the Dreamcast but that's just speculation. I know that for a selling point the PS2 could play DVDs. As the years would roll on they will try to say that wasn't the reason for the PS2 but it was. To be fair Sega had a lot of other problems but you still have to wonder that if they would have made the Dreamcast a DVD platform with component video outputs along with optical 7.1 audio surround sound like what the PS2 and Xbox had if it would have been a strong contender. Remember, in 2000 home theater systems were big. They had optical 7.1 ports on the back and the Sony Trinitrons had component video ports on the back so if Sega had the foresight to see that then the Dreamcast would have been much stronger in competition. The video and audio hookups make a difference in trends at that time but so did DVD support. It's hard to say what could have been but seeing as to how the Xbox, PS2 and Game Cube had support for component video and optical 7.1 audio, I feel the Dreamcast should have also had that along with DVD support but Sega being first, it's hard to tell what the future would have brought in 1998-1999. I wished Sega's future would have been awesome. IMHO I wished it would have been Sega, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo as the gaming giants in the industry but sadly we know how it all turned out. Sega shot themselves in the foot in the early 90s. I will always love Sega though. :)

@@DeadlyGamingLV VGA is superior to component in 480p. Just compare the Xbox and Dreamcast in 480p mode. I made my own component cable for my Xbox from some spare 360 cables, and it really is night and day difference how the Dreamcast is just simply the clearest 3D console in 480p. Now, when you get into 720p, component on Xbox looks much better than 480P VGA on DC and that is no contest, but people who did VGA mod to their Xbox have said as much as well, that VGA is clearer in 480p than component ever was.

They .GDI versions run great at 480i via RGB SCART and GBEMU clone with one caveat - KOFXI was updated to a "USBGDROM" version which is optimised for these ODEs (Megavolt85's initial KOFXI release was prone to freezing during certain loading sequences on GDEMU / USBGDROM). There's absolutely no requirement for a MODE or a 480p display.

@@SmokeMonster sorry that was a vague comment. I meant to say I have an dc digital dreamcast running mode. I downloaded the most recent folder for the new atomiswave games and dropped them into the hard drive with the rest of my games. When I boot the atomiswave games they crash to the blue home screen and asks to put a disk in.

There's 100% compatible with GDEMU in my experience, although these should all be regarded as alpha releases subject to stability improvements (Megavolt85 stated he plans to bugfix further once they're all done, and YZB stated he'll release CDI versions of the ones that are considered bug-free).

I tried Metal Slug 6, wont run.. not even with original bios. Works on Redream PC though.

@@vrakula I've now tried to run Metal Slug 6 on Android Redream. The cover icon shows but the game crashes the emulator. Hopefully the Redream developer is able to update the app to enable all the games work.
