Thanks mate, yeah they finally made homebrew versions, took them long enough ! There are a couple of prototype games too but none of them are that good TBH. I just wish we got more dreamcast games and more stuff like the SNK games😂

Once again, another great and informative video. Really wish I'd got into this system back when you did as all the games look good. Quite a few I'd not seen before. Thanks for sharing again 👍

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it ! you dont need fancy arcade hardware anymore, just get the PS2 versions or for the unreleased stuff you can get dreamcast homebrew/repo type stuff ! cheers for watching buddy

Fantastic video mate and some very interesting games there I’ve not heard of. Metal slug 6 I’ve definitely played on the Ds and some of the hunting games in the arcade. It’s a era in the arcade though I know little about tbh with you. I think you would have had to go into the Trocadero London to play most of them. Sounds like the ps2 is the place to play most of them now if you don’t have Atomiswave. Be cool to see you play them in your candy cab. Enjoyed that video 😎👍

I think you are right these would of been in the Trocadero between 2003-5, I reckon most people would of just presumed they were Neogeo and not realised its different hardware. Yeah most of the games did end up on the PS2, only a handful didnt get a console port. I want to do more game play on the Candycabs, i actually ordered a Axumworks jamma extractor/splitter, so I will play around with that and get some gameplay footage mixed with me playing (if that makes sense 😂). I reckon that might be a cool option for you, as you do excellent gameplay streams ! TBH i do need to do alot of monitor work first to show the candy cabs off, I just got a chasis back from sharp repair in the states for my horizontal blast city and it aint working still so I might have a dead monitor, also I have a cold solder joint on the Neo29 to sort out, plus the vertical blast needs to be recapped, as you know it is such a pain to do !!! I really dread Monitor maintenance and keep delaying the work !!!! Really appreciate you checking out my videos mate, cheers

Excellent stuff there mate. I love seeing arcade collections like this 👍 Will it do VGA output like the Dreamcast? 31hz?
@red7even52
@red7even52 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, yeah exactly the same as the Naomi/dreamcast, it has a dip setting to switch between 15 and 31Khz, not all candy cabs monitors could handle 31 khz only the later ones like the blast city. I used the 31khz for the screen capture, but it doesnt do it justice, on a CRT arcade monitor that handles 31khz it is absolutely stunning !

I totally agree about the Dreamcast mate, such a shame, wonderful console. Sega bass fishing is great fun with the controller. Dolphin blue looks bonkers 😆. Love metal slug 🥰. Awesome collection.

Wow, great video. Ram packed with info. I knew about the system, but never realised how late it was released. It's a shame more of these didn't see a paw release at least. But i guess in the west people were looking for different gaming experiences than arcade behemoths at that time. I might have to look for that fotn Ps2 game now💪 Great video

Thanks mate, it does have a fantastic line up which should off made it to the dream cast.... if only ! Yeah the Sega fishing games are surprisingly fun, unfortunately its a bit redundant without the controller 😆

@Rollerxcore - It really is surprising seeing these games released so late, but it shows you how good the dreamcast really was, and how developers like SNK and Arc system works trusted the hardware for their big releases ! thanks for watching mate !

Do you know how to enter the debug mode on the atomiswave? If so could you please do a video on it. I’m specifically wanting to turn the blood on in Metal Slug 6. Tried google but can’t make much sense of it, most of the focus is now on the Dreamcast port. Thanks again.

Not sure there is a debug mode on a standard motherboard, you probably need some sort of modified bios and a patch for the game, I had a quick look in the game config and checked if the blood is available in the other other regions, unfortunately it seems to be white in all regions. If you discover how to switch on the blood let me know as i would be interested ! Cheers mate

@@red7even52 I’ll keep looking. Thanks for the reply. Keep the videos coming, nobody else does this content as well as you. I’m a long time neo geo fan but have bought a pgm 1 and 2 and atomiswave because of your videos. Thank you 👍

Nice system and a very good run through of the games, never seen the first batch of titles, just aware of the normal, shall we say, better games like the fighters lol I've only played them via console ports though as the system is from a time I never frequented the arcades and I've never had the urge to invest in the arcade hardware. Definitely agree on neo geo battle coliseum, great game with a fantastic character roster, the usual quality backgrounds and an all around quality title. Imo all the kof games are worth playing, I prefer the earlier entries but all the later ones are still good games. Guilty gear is another fave of mine but not played that one much, possibly never, I know it's in the collection, probably just tested it, sounds like I'm not missing much lol As you mentioned I have the ps2 fotns port, lovely looking game, quality fighting game action. Very informative video, looking forward to you hopefully showcasing some mvs stuff 👍👍

Thanks mate, the first run of games are best forgotten :) but I would say after and including Demolishfist are all worth experiencing, Luckily most did end up on the PS2 at least. neo geo battle coliseum needs more love, such a great game, I havent played the PS2 version but unless they really screwed up the port it should be fantastic on it ! If you have an OG xbox it is still worth giving GG Isuka a go because they did try something different and I totally respect that, you never know you might enjoy it more than I do😂 Yeah FOTNS is fantastic, such a perfect game for Arc Sys to develop ! I am sure there will be more MVS in the future! Thanks for watching mate

@@red7even52 I did have a modded xbox, a crystal one, but can't find it anywhere lol I have collected a few Japanese xbox fighters but I'm more of a Sony person so have gg isuka on the jpn ps2 so I'll definitely give it another go soon 👍 forgot to say I also thought the rumble fish was yet another very nice fighter you featured, again only played it via the jpn ps2 so never played the 2nd one, so many vs fighters ended at the arcades with no home ports available, I watched a utube video and it was mind boggling lol my job for this year has to be to address that shortfall. Cool, of all the later cart based arcade systems imo the mvs is the daddy, anything mvs related you have time to do will be greatly appreciated.
