something i find right is that actually their company doesn't ask them to lose weigth like obligatorily. the girls say they eat whatever they want, and it's their decision to lose or not weight. and i mean, who won't lose it while dancing to dreamcatcher's songs? they practice their perfomances a min of 4 hours, that's why they have such good muscles. and also, gahyeon says that it was all her decision to keep her body in shape, just to feel comfortable with herself. 💕

DCC is one of the main reasons that DC is my Ult Group. They just want the group to be healthy, purely dependent on the group's individuals. A healthy weight/feel for one member is completely different for another. These women work so hard for their craft, it's actually probably hard for them to maintain a weight and not to lose. The reason they're able to perform such hard choreo and give such amazing stage performances is due to the fact that they're allowed to be healthy, not just be aesthetically "thin" like many companies focus on. A good example is a story from Momo of Twice. As a trainee she had to maintain a weight of around 90lbs(she's 5'4" so not terrible), so for a week she ate nothing but ice chips to make weight(she was just a little over 100lbs). She did this WHILE STILL PRACTICING AND DANCING. She confessed in a VLive that she broke down almost every night because she didn't know if she was going to wake up the next morning because she felt so weak. She then goes to say "I was so relieved that I made weight though, I lost over 12lbs during that week". The other members praised her after the story but you tell that story to a doctor and they're going to be looking at your heart for damage. All these performers (Men and Women) are expected to give 100% in every performance, but are only allowed to eat to maintain a specific weight. This means that even if they are super fit with a lot of muscle, they're still considered "overweight" simply based on the scale numbers. It's like buying a high performance car but disconnecting the fuel injectors for 4 of the cylinders. Yea it looks nice but it's not performing how it could because you're stopping it from doing so.
