Live At The Greek Theatre In Los Angeles, August 7, 2014. Michael McDonald Contributed Backing Vocals On The Original Recording Of The Song In The 1980s And Also Appeared In The Toto Music Video For The Hit Single. The Sweet Serenade Love Song, "I'll Be Over You," Was Written By Steve Lukather And Went To The Top Of American Song Charts In 1986.

Rich G MMD & I share the same little hometown outside of St. Louis. Try to imagine what it was like having the same choir teacher that MMD had just a decade earlier. It was pretty much impossible to live up to those standards.

Great performance of a Toto-classic. And with Michael McDonald it sounds even more authentic because he sang the backing vocals on the studio version. Shannon Forrest is doing a great job on drums really GROOVY. This might be one of his earliest gigs with Toto.

I went to jr high and high-school with Steve. He was a friend. I would go to his garage and hear him play. This is before he got with 2 brothers down the street. Then i hear he's in the band Toto! He was a nice mellow kind of guy. If he were to read this he would remember me as the girl who was throwing up over the small balcony when he tried to feel me out 😅 We both drank to much. I tried to see him in San Diego in 1980. Im so happy for my friend Steve, he loved playing his quitar 😊

My dad recognized Michael's voice the first time he heard this song. To think, if only he could have shown up with Toto in Reno back in 2018. A way to make an amazing experience for my dad and I even greater.

I was like 11 when this song came out and grew up with Michael McDonald/yacht rock stuff--once you know his voice, you know. Picked it out when I first heard it, and thought he joined Toto after his solo career!

Love the country music flavored guitar licks/fills Luke comes up with here. Fits perfectly. Fantastic as always. Always awesome seeing and hearing Michael McDonald, even if his voice is basically shot after so many decades. Who cares, he still sounds awesome even when struggling (a bit ;-) ).

steve lukather was pretty clean on here his voice has got husky in later years just age.thats not to say he's a bad singer he always been brilliant. and toto playing tight as usual. you cannot mistake michael mcdonald its the voice he has.

I was in the short two guy line at Festus Mo. Walmart at 2am with Michael McDonald a few years ago, knew it was him but didn't want to bug him, he was buying batteries, kool to be standing next to him though.
