Omg y’all YES. I hardly ever see anything that has anything to do with western riding and I’ve been barrel racing since I was 2 (almost 11 years!) I love western riding and it has always been something that I love ❤️

It’s like nothing u can imagin to go full speed galloping down a trail on an animal that u trust with ur life I ride both English and western jumping if amazing but western u just feel free

No that’s how you desensitize a horse. Sorry you don’t know a true desensitized horse looks like.

@@sallybeavers8506 sorry but you don't know what a horse that is not in learned helplessness look, do some research into learning theory, and learned helplessness. Horse who are in learn helplessness are considered bomb proof, until they aren't any more, those horses ppl see freaking out bucking, and rearing seemingly out of nowhere, that's a horse who has been in learned helplessness who has had enough triggers stacked, then flipped out. Then it's the horse's fault, they get labeled as dangerous and un predictable.

people really need to educate themselves on what true desensitizing looks like, this here is true desensitizing. It's teaching the horse not to bolt or buck at sudden sounds or movements. It is not learned helplessness, people who say this are just sissies in the horse world.

You cant tell the whole story from a 30 second video. Also the vid looks like it cuts from one part to the next so we don't know what the guy is doing in the parts that are cut out. He could be leeting the horse deregulate or the video could be sprd over multiple training sessions.There is alos more than one way to train a horse.
