The passion that is put into this roleplay in general is so convincing and feels so close to reality despite having visible ghosts, revive books, etc. There were so many emotional points in the lore that genuinely made me cry and I say to that, kudos to everyone in the lore! Bro these people are so good at acting, Wilbur really perfected both parts, ghostbur’s desperate grasping for survival, and the intense fear in his voice up til the very end, trying to convince himself that it wasn’t happening and that everything would be ok. And then with revivedbur, the almost comedic, yet disturbing relief and almost joy that he was out of his own personal hell. The intense feeling of being set free from the hell that he had been trapped in, and the genuine curiosity of what had happened while he was away, along with his intense want for control and power, even though he had only gotten back shows through him completely ignoring anything Tommy said that he didn’t like. Tommy with his fear for ghostbur, and his intense hatred for Dream and even Sam when he refused to let him across. His fear mixed with sadness when he heard how scared ghostbur was, immediately kicking into his protective mode, begging for Sam to let him across, completely throwing his own pride away. But not only wanting to get across for ghostbur, but also to kill Dream, which is the perfect mix of emotions, he’s battling fear for ghostbur, and his intense hatred of Dream, along with his fear of Wilbur being revived. Sam being completely overwhelmed by the sensory overload of everyone screaming, causes him to not be able to think clearly, thus not knowing what to do, so he just closes the lava off. Then trying to lessen any guilt he may feel by saying that ghostbur is “just a ghost”, and de-humanizing ghostbur. He is also very frantic to get Tommy out of the prison, giving into his rage and switching to full-on warden mode, which causes him to completely lose contact with the true Sam, the Sam that feels guilt, and sadness, instead, the warden version of Sam has only rage, and an intense protectiveness over the prison. Need I talk about Dream? He probably never intended for Sam to let him out, since he knew he wouldn’t. He never showed any emotion during that exchange, simply stating that he would revive Wilbur, without any real conviction or hope in his voice.

Sam watched and listened as Tommy was brutally murdered by Dream in the prison with nothing done, now Tommy watched and listened as Ghostbur was brutally murdered/revived by Dream in the prison with nothing done. A sad parallel. Tommy has what is known as an impulsive behavior. He acts on emotions more than he acts on actual logic and thought processing, because of this, it has been the root of many of his downfalls and has escalated the very problems he thought he could fix.

Can we all just agree that Wilbur deserves an Oscar for this? It gave me chills when he cried “Tommy please, I don't want to die!” and did his little wave
