I agree D. Neal. This song gives me chills! A friend of mine died from a heart attack last January & he is the one that had told me about Cody Johnson & this song & how much he loved it! #TillYouCant. Now I cry every time I listen to this song. My Daddy died from cancer when he was just 44 years old. I went into labor with my oldest son (my Dad's namesake) on the day of his funeral. My son has been diagnosed as schizophrenic & the mental health system is broken. My dad was the CEO of a mental health hospital when he died & he would be shocked at the mental health system today & alot of other things going on in our world today. My son is in crisis again & even when been committed in the past will not take his meds. I need my Daddy more than ever & so does both of my son's & the rest of our family. My son just turned 40 years old & I don't know where to turn. It seems like he will never be able to live a productive life & it's affecting my other son's life too (they live together). I have my own mental health issues & can't seem to find him the help that he needs. My youngest son has really stepped up & been the man of the family when he was way to young as their father who is now deceased was an alcoholic. I don't know how much more my youngest son can take. Thank you to Cody Johnson for this song & thank you D. Neal. Your reactions brighten my days! #TillYouCant

I heard this randomly driving home one day from work on the radio and it immediately resonated with me. A coworker I was very close with had passed way shortly before that unexpectedly. I never thought I'd ever lose her and that she'd always be there. So hearing this song was a reminder that every day could be our last day or the last day of a loved one so we should never take anyone for granted. If my husband and I ever have a daughter, he's agreed to name her after my coworker. Also, the line about taking that phone call from your mama made me realize how heartbroken I'd be if I ever lost my mom. She lives near me and my husband so I see her as often as I can on weekends for "mother daughter" time.

This song was written by my son in law’s brother Ben Stennis. He wrote it about his dad who is losing his memory fast and regrets the rain checks he gave his dad.
