Every time we visit Dreamworld it seems to be a little different and it's hard to know whether this is good… or bad. So with time has Dreamworld matured into a world class icon, or might management's shaky hands cause this house of cards to topple over?

Dreamworld has really been improving at great speed lately. The other Gold Coast parks are tired, dirty and the staff are so unhappy. Dreamworld is fresh, Clean, happy staff everywhere, and has way more rides than the other parks have to offer, plus half the park is also a zoo, it’s a full day out when the other golf coast parks are barely a full day. Great work dreamworld! Keep going! 😊

I have to agree! The other parks don't seem to be doing much, or at least aren't talking about it. Whereas Dreamworld is consistently improving something. The Cafe and ice cream shop done not long again, train and train station currently, and soon Giant Drop. Give it 10 years, and I think Dreamworld will have the best feel to it

Dreamworld can’t build good coasters though, Giant Drop and The Claw are excellent but Movieworld has Superman, Asylum and now DC rivals, all amazing coasters that leave Dreamworld in the dust. Wild west falls as well with great theming and dreamworld doesn’t even have a water ride anymore. They need to up their game or go defunct.

Thank you for doing another review of Dreamworld! Your last review is the reason why my family got our annual passes to Dreamworld, and we visit quite a bit. Dreamworld has definitely changed since 2020 (when we got our first annual passes), and mostly for the better. They have made some questionable decisions with removing some great attractions, but I believe it's all done with good reason. The park is now moving into a stage where they are focusing more on teenagers and adults compared to children and kids. This is great for most cases, but Dreamworld has let their ABC Kids world and other young children areas left to rot. Honestly I think now that the park has introduced Steel Taipan, they should close the ABC Kids world for a couple months are give it some much needed attention. Overall I think Dreamworld has been going great with all of the struggles they have had to deal with, and I look forward to it's amazing future.

Yes I always felt dreamworld made a big mistake demolishing the imax cinema Victorian facade that fit in with the rest of Main Street /central plaza they easily could have demolished the internal theatre building built the show building for sky voyager and retained the Victorian themed facade especially since they had already removed the eureka mountain mine ride that covered the top of theatre building

Absolutley excellent video mate! It’s a really good park but yes it does feel incomplete with room for improvement and possible expansion for the future. I guess the real “dream” in Dreamworld is how we can imagine how it might grow and evolve in the future if it continues to flourish

That "escaped prisoner" mascot character looks disturbingly like he's playing "me going to a theme park". When US theme parks reopened in 2021 the pent-up demand produced overflow crowds that easily overwhelmed the still-short staff, and I think it led to an unusually large number of ride accidents as well as generally stressful experiences. Early indications from 2022 are that things might be getting back to something more like normal.

Dreamworld really seems to be slipping hard, removing multiple rides every year and having increasingly poorer public perception because of that. It’s really hard to see what management wants for the park’s future, or if they even have any idea themselves. On a slightly unrelated note, why haven’t they rebuilt the train track yet? Is that secretly on the chopping block too?

Dream world is a family park not a thrill park. If you bought kids from 3-13 it's a blast. Only reason they're taking out rides is because of age and maintenance costs, most of their rides are at least 15 years old.

I think dreamworld should replace big red car ride with an animatronic show like a recreation of gum tree gully jamboree that they used to have in 1981- sometime around early 2000’s. We went to Dreamworld in March, 2021, and it was the second worst park I've ever been to. Only one coaster was operating, the dreadful Arrow corkscrew. The Cursed Side of the park was completely torn out and just gave off the worst vibes possible. Even though the park had maybe only 50 people inside, we stayed at most 90 minutes before heading to the very fun water park, after riding the Soarin' ripoff. It's a dreadful park that, even with the addition of Taipan, I cannot imagine ever visiting again. Movie World may be postage-stamp tiny, but Superman, DC Rivals, Scooby Doo, and the surprisingly excellent Log Flume make it far superior. Also "Dreamworld could really use another water ride", not sure i'd ever trust a water ride in that park.

What a very expensive park! 68 euros per one day entry! WOW! 55 euro (adults), 47 euro for children/seniors for Europapark, or 80 Australian dollars. Efteling = 38 to 46 euro so. 55 to 67 Australian dollars. Phantasialand 45 to 57 euros. Even Disneyland Paris can be cheaper with prices ranging from 54 to 99 euro’s. I do feel it has a lot to offer, however in terms of theming it is comparable to much cheaper parks in Europe. We have smaller parks that cost 15 euro’s (usually with all you can eat), medium sized parks like Slagharen with a large indoor and outdoor waterpark = 18.50 euros to 23.50 euros. I feel Dreamworld looks and feels like the medium sized parks here, with similar attractions and theming. However a lot bigger in size. So it has the size of larger parks, but with the quality of the medium sized parks. I feel the price in Europe would be 35 euro’s MAX, or 51 Australian dollars.
@otaking3582

Yeah, I agree that the price for a single day ticket is outrageous for what's on offer. I live an hour away from Six Flags over Texas, and their annual pass is $35 USD per year (less than half of Dreamworld's $99 ASD/$75 USD per year), and yet it has much better theming and rides on offer.
@sanderdeboer6034
@sanderdeboer6034 2 жыл бұрын
@@otaking3582 I just checked the site of six flags over Texas and I think you made a small mistake. The single day MINIMUM admission price is 35 dollars. However can be more expensive depending on the day. The cheapest annual pass just for that park is 89.99 dollars. I have seen videos of the park and it looks great many thrill rides. However the theming is not at the same level as Europapark, Efteling or Phantasialand. But similar to other trill ride parks we have here. I have just checked prices at Walibi Holland which used to be a Six Flag park. Entrance fee minimum Is 30.50 euro for a day. A season pass starts at 78.50. So 33.50 dollars for a day ticket and 86.19 dollars for a season. Mainly has thrill rides and targeting a teen and adult audience.

@@otaking3582 Hope you don’t feel offended I corrected it. Everyone makes mistakes, but the real great person (especially in KZfaq) allows them to be corrected and is gracious about it. ;) I have seen a video by themapark worldwide who visited and reviewed Six flags over Texas. They were very positive! I live near the Efteling here in the Netherlands, in 2020 the most visited park in Europe, even more than Disney. But this mostly has to do with Corona. Usually it is the third park just behind Disney and Europapark. (From the Mack family) Hope to visit the USA again soon, not sure if Texas will be on my schedule. Although I would love to visit Austin, so who knows.

They unintentionally recreated the Thunderbolt experience - rough as guts! 3.
