I actually forgot to mention the price of this release in the video itself but I got it on Amazon Italy for €16 but it has gone back up to 24 and my advice is to wait for the inevitable price drop like I did.

The Dolby Atmos on this release is definitely demo worthy - one of the best I've heard.

I love Dredd and got US 4K. Like you I also really enjoyed Stalonne Judge Dredd. I loved the ABC robots and was pleased to see one of my favourite musicians - Ian Dury appearing it not long before he sadly died Another great episode.

I’m a sucker for some good spot glossing 😍. I love this movie, you know me I pretty much keep the collection limited to horror, but I did pick up the Filmarena release of this a few months back. Because, as you mentioned, it is so violent, I have always considered it to be horror adjacent. Nice pickup my friend!

Dredd was planned and shot on 3D cameras. In fact, it's one of the finest examples of the 3D format. Absolutely spectacular. This was one of those releases where the 3D version was included on the same disc as the 2D standard Blu-ray (which is included in the 4K release as well). I passed on the US version of the 4K, though. It's sourced from the exact same 2K DI as the standard and looks like it has less detail in certain shots (could be more noise on the BD, though). Still, not enough of a difference to upgrade.

Love this movie and will definitely be picking this one up. The artwork is really nice on the cover. It would be awesome if they released a collectors bust edition.

Fantastic slip cover there. I like the Stallone version so much that I will not bother to see this version. I’m sure it probably is good but I don’t want it to spoil the Stallone version for me.

Hi Keith, Great edition for a super under the radar film of Dredd. Picked up the Best Buy steel book around a year ago for $19.99. The price was great for a steel book so I made the purchase. Big fan of Stallones version so wasn’t expecting much. Boy was I in for a shock as this is a top 10 demo disc for its sound and the picture is incredible also. Great video my friend 🇺🇸✌️🇮🇪

It's a great film. Reminded me of The Raid

After growing up with the 2000ad comic and Judge Dredd this was the movie I wanted and is definitely closer to the character than the Stallone version. I wasn't surprised it didn't do well box office wise as the character and the story is not something modern audiences would like.

Big fan of this film mate , i got the usa steelbook as you know and yeh the atmos is sensational. But nothing comes close to the 3d ! God i miss my Panasonic plasma tv !

Every actor has at least one part they are born to play, for Karl urban it's Judge Dread. I would love to see a Dread film with Judge Death.

Hi Keith, catching up on your videos. I loved this film and have the 3D version but some time later my TV for watching 3D died, so now I;m on OLED. It sounds like, other than those sections, the picture looks pretty good. Now it's on my list..

Got this as well, an awesome slipcover. The slipcover of The Last Emperor from 4Kult feels even better. They do some very good things, the only little downside for me is that there are only Italian subtitles.

Seen the sky version it's ok has a charm, I own the latest movie on Blu-ray I have never seen it yet 🎥👍📺

I also have this version . Love the 4Kult versions as you get the exclusive card and the exclusive slip covers . It would be nice if these did Steelbooks as well .

I think karl urban is the perfect dredd but saying that i loved the stallone version too.

Hi Keith, I normally get more German & Spanish releases for many years from Europe, but after the recent amount of Italian releases that you"ve been picking of late i might have to check out Amazon italy, i must admit as a huge Stallone fan i was quite disappointed to the original movie to why i"ve not seen the remake 😬. I do like the slip cover on this Keith, but unfortunately I've never seen the film. From what you are saying it sounds like it's worth checking out.

Keith, does the blu ray disc have the 3d version on it also? I only ask because the original blu ray version has both the 2d and 3d versions on a single disc.

I did see a few of those 4KULT the last time i was there and they also have other nice bluray slipcover ranges but unfortunately are only in italian audio. Its rare to see spot glossing on slipcovers like that, you definitely got a good price for 16 quid. Im still looking to get the best buy version myself at some stage.

I have Dredd 4K, i think its the German release, not watched it yet but i wonder if its the same as yours, I believe and i could be wrong Dredd is not very big in America with it being a British comic and that's the reason it keeps flopping , Am i right in thinking the Stallone one flopped as well? Like i said though i could be wrong lol.

Nice edition. I see a lot of 4Kult editions on Amazon Italy. But it's all Italian. The titles also. I don't like that. I see that it's only has Italian subs. So it's a no go for me unfortunately. Just watched House of the Devil on blu ray. It is one of the few movies without subtitles. Half of the time I couldn't here the dialogues. We are so used here to having subtitles that a movie without is unwatchable for me. It's so hard to actually hear what people say. Phone conversations for example.. So bleh. That's why we here don't have the critique that the dialogues in Tenet for example were to soft. We always have the subs to back it up. They don't need to be in Dutch. English subs are fine too, like all the Arrow releases for example. But otherwise.....I never understand why the subs are always so inconsequent available on discs. A lot of 4K discs don't have Dutch subs, but the blu rays in the same cases do have them. Those files are hardly a few kb on those discs. So this is me nitpicking for a few sentences 🤣 But I don't understand why a lot of English speaking people never need subs. Do they have super ears or something haha While I was typing this the doorbell rang for the Amazon Italy Scream 3 steelbook and a Mission Impossible 6 boxset from Amazon France (36 euro Bkack Friday deal).
