A clear and informative presentation without being patronising - our health has suffered in recent decades as we seem to have forgotten what our grandmothers knew instinctively - carbohydrate foods make you fat and also don’t ruin your appetite by snacking in between meals. I am old enough to remember when 95% of us were lean and thin - AND we just took it for granted.

So true about the snacking. It was never encouraged back then but now they are saying we need to ensure we snack in between meals. I think we should take in the right amount of calories during our main meals of the day so that our bodies get time to digest the food instead of piling more in every moment of the day. Our Gmamas knew what they were talking about.

Dear Dr. Ekberg...by concidence I opened one of your videos (10 things you should not eat) back in October 2020, and my journey to complete diet transformation has began...at the time I could not close my favorite pants any more...now, simply by changing my food based on your advice, cutting out sugar, carbs overall and processed food, without any effort I lost close to 4 kilograms and now I can close my pants very easily :) For example, my dinner tonight was green salad, with broccoly, tomatoes, avocado, sardines, with some olive oil...and I though to myself "dr. Ekberg would be proud of me :)) ) A great THANK YOU for your precious content, I'm your biggest fan!

Been trying Ketogenic for a little while now about 5 weeks since the 2nd week I have no cravings for anything I used to consume or should I say overly consumed for my whole life. I am already of my diabetes meds and my blood sugar has begun to regulate. I don't care about weight I just want to feel human again. My chronic boils have gone away and my body is changing like crazy. My blood pressure is coming down. This is unbelievable I haven't felt this good in almost forever and I am just starting! Hello Dr Ekberg. I’ve been listening and watching your videos for a couple of months now and about two months ago, I decided to go all out very low carb bec I was always getting dizzy after I eat carbs! It had gotten so bad that I almost didn’t want to eat anymore for the dread of the dizziness after eating. I did intermittent 18-6 and slowly my body adapted and started enjoying eating twice a day, although I would have a small non carb snack between meals. Until few days ago, since I’ve started (2 months now), the low carb/fasting, my insulin is 3.26 and fbs last month was 99, A1C is 5.2 from 5.5! Best is I feel good and not fearful now that I’m in a bad place. I also lost 12 pounds and down to a size 4 from 12. I’m mixing three meals and two meals as well as 16/8 and omad now so I don’t lose any more weight. I haven’t been 131 since I was in my 20s, now I’m 62!!! Thank you so much for your videos, for selflessly sharing your knowledge in a very easily understandable way, I’ve shared ur videos many times to friends and family. You have helped so many people and I for one, am very very grateful!!! God bless you Dr Ekberg!!!! 🙏🏼❤️

As I practice keto life style for years and following your channel since the beginning , and sharing your awesome videos with others , I had to share this one today with my pregnant daughter . She recently was diagnosed with Gestational diabetes. She was asked to start insulin , when her highest result at fasting test was 95 .They also advised her to have 6-8 meals a day .This almost blew my mind .3 meals with 3 snacks (fruit and carbs). They told her she must have carbs . Holy molly . Why those doctors are not update about those things ? How far they can go and keep hurting people with their ignorance advises ?

I actually saw this below as a result of my search for "extreme insulin resistance." The items 1,2 & 4 on the list are so ridiculous" Even number 3 is questionable---eat a low-fat diet if you have severe insulin resistance---absurd! What is "5. Be dairy savvy..." to mean---drink only skim milk because it's low fat? How can I lose weight with severe insulin resistance? 7 meal planning tips for an insulin resistance diet 1. Fill up on vegetables. ... 2. Focus on fiber-filled whole grains, beans and legumes. ... 3. Choose lean sources of protein. ... 4. Eat modest amounts of fruit. ... 5. Be dairy savvy. ... 6. Select heart-healthy fats. ... 7. Boost your fiber intake.

This video is most definitely "Life Saving", educational content. Dr. Ekberg, thank you, for properly setting the record straight! Many general practice doctors are actually compounding the diabetes epidemic by prescribing medication that only treat the symptoms.

Wow!!im new to this amazing channel and thanks so much for helping us understand better. 💯 Is there a connection between adrenal fatigue and insulin resistance? I'm almost 40 and I've battled adrenal fatigue on and off for over 2 decades now. I also easily get sick after eating certain food that I ended up at ER coz my body just went into a shock- shaking and feeling weak! Thanks again. Bless your heart...
