You guys are probably wondering why I am giving away my techniques and showing what I do. I've had MANY copy-cats take my designs and even try to take credit for them. It is sad to see, but it happens! And I could honestly care less. I show you this because I want you guys to learn. I want everyone to be inspired, but learn to forge your own paths in art. If you don't, you'll only be as good as whoever you are idolizing. Love you guys! - Matt ⚒️ TOOLS & SUPPLIES I USE FROM AMAZON ⚒️ ⚡︎ FOREDOM CARVER (MY FAVORITE) amzn.to/2HRXbzC ⚡︎ DREMEL 4000 CARVER: amzn.to/2Ubc4TS ⚡︎ CHEAPER CARVER: amzn.to/2HPa1i5

I found this a meticulous and enjoyable video, just showing the care and attention to detail in your art, and you are quite right in that others will always try to cheat and they are only cheating themselves, and are not worth even a single thought, Well done young man.

They look awesome Matt! Love that respirator, it looks a lot more comfortable than mine haha What was that big drum burr you were using on the handle? and where do you get your tomahawk heads? Its really hard to get good burrs here (and resin, what is it with Australia!?) I usually just have to get the cheap eBay ones. I read your comment and that's pretty much exactly why I pride myself in being self taught. Its very obvious to people like us when you just try to copy someone else's style. Great video mate! :)

another fascinating video, love how your editing keeps improving too ;-) and 2 questions: how do you keep that sanding roll from not flying of it's ( not a clue how you call that thingie) and don't you get cramps in your hands? ifso how did you got them to stop occuring?
@CorneliusCreations
@CorneliusCreations 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! That wasn’t a sanding drum I was using, but I know what you mean though! Start using lighter pressure as you sand or get a new sanding drum mandrel. 2) Sometimes cramps are inevitable but I try to stretch my fingers and hands before I carve.

There’s a question I’ve been meaning to ask. How long do you usually spend on a project before calling it a day and then coming back to it when you are refreshed on a new day? Thanks in advance bro and keep inspiring the good folks out here loving God and sawdust. Peace.
@CorneliusCreations
@CorneliusCreations 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Mendell! That is a great question. That is situational. Right now, I am busting it hard for an art show. But at the same time I know EXACTLY what design I’m doing so my creative process of “thinking” is halfway done. This allows me to plow through work. If you are making a new piece, make time blocks for your creativity for designing. For me, designing is the longest process. A lot of this is mental of course, have fun with what you’re doing and even though it is hard work, don’t let it be “hard work” for you if that makes sense. Sometimes I do need time where I just stop and give my brain a break. But for the most part I keep everything at certain hours in the day.
