Omg this happens to me right now, i'v watched this Drama 4 Time, everytime i fall inlove with lee jun ki and this Drama. Allways the same Feeling as the first Time watched it. And i also fall inlove with his Eyes they are so pretty, he even act with them🥰. This is the best Roll ever Lee jun ki played

I know the. Ending disturbs everyone (except a select few) but this drama Is glorious because of its story and so the sorrow and the sacrifices are what really made us love this drama so it was just natural that the Ending would be a perfect representation of the general idea/theme : Tragedy. If you think really hard you can't expect a famous ruler from history to have real relationships with a newcomer from the future anywaysss I'm rambling I just wanted to say that I applaud the directors for their ending choice and even though it shattered my poor heart into a million fragments, I loved it. Every single second was precious to me. The emotions that this drama made me feel seems unrealistic and I am grateful for discovering it early in my life.

Emotional and heartbreaking drama, but amazing too :) The blazing love of the two people from two different times is just 😍 The way that they tried so hard to be with each other. Their passionate love. It is just too amazing for words.

El mejor dorama del 2016 lastima que en Corea no le dieron el reconocimiento que debían darle en los premios SBS, ni a lee joon gi como mejor actor la verdad todo fue muy injustos y también como mejor pareja, la verdad la química era perfecta en ellos dos durante todo el drama y la manera en que el la amo fue hermoso que lastima de verdad, llevándose los mejores premios el drama descendiente del sol, que si fue un gran drama excelente no se puede negar pero si es de elegir para mi este fue el mejor. Con una gran historia.

Es el mejor drama sin duda, me negaba a verlo porque creía que sería aburrido y cuando empecé por accidente a verlo en facebook, ya no pude parar. El final es el más triste sin duda lloré como una niña y no podía parar... fue la cosa más triste que he visto jamás 😪

i've always liked jung's character right from the start. he was genuine and carefree. he held no grudges and stood by what was right. he never did fail as a person and a lover to hae soo. wook was the same. loving hae soo is indeed wrong when he was married but during that time his intention for hae soo was pure. he wanted to love her in a way she wasn't. he stood up for her when she needed him but right at the moment she needed him most, he changed. he had me in the first half you know. he knew how to capture her heart. he went from being a prince charming to a prince greedy of power. he was brainwashed and was no longer who he used to be. at the same time, he turned vicious. he believed it was for hae soo but as time pass by he had other things in mind. he couldn't stand up for hae soo no more. and that's how so enters the picture. he was indeed selfish but he wasn't emotionless. he was only a boy longing for the love and affection he never once received. he didn't know how to express how he felt because no one taught him how to be human. he was treated as an animal and hostage his whole life. yes, he was very intimidating but he is human. he was just someone incapable of processing emotions. a person so used of being mistreated that he couldn't understood how to be human. he was hard to break but the moment he showed his true colors it was when i understood. he maybe like that but he is human. i was very fond of him while watching the series. i loved how he knew how to stick to his stand. he wasn't easily swayed and he did his best to learn how it is to love someone and be human. he was just doing everything he could for hae soo. it's just a shame how the throne changed him. his love became anger and anxiety to the point in which he could no longer suppress his feelings. he was a good man wanting to be a good king and lover but sadly one could not do both. wook had a pure love. wook only wanted hae soo to receive the love he wasn't able to give myung hee. he wanted to spend his life with her. on the other hand, jung had a selfless love. jung only wanted hae soo to be happy and free. it wouldn't matter if the love is not mutual as long as he could give what hae soo deserved. lastly, so had the real love. it maybe complicated but real. for all those years, they spent their times yearning for each other. it was a love that consumed them because no matter what they do and how distant they might be they were in love. they had the love with no bounds. no matter what happened they were by each other's side waiting and loving.

as much as i agree with you but the throne didnt change So like you said, if you look back you can see how much So tried to make Soo his wife even when Wook said “someone with a scar cant be a queen” So still didnt care about it and when So had to marry Wook’s sister, he also told Soo that he wanted to marry Soo and she could pick or name it whatever she wants to call it, So always tried to be together with Soo, but when Wook said Soo promised to marry Wook, he felt betrayed, so it wasnt the throne but it was the feeling of betrayal that got to him, but as we all know it wasnt actually betrayal it was only a miss communication, Soo should’ve said that she changed her mind and didnt wanna marry Wook anymore, but So had been blinded by jealousy then the tragedy happened 😔💔

Arcticvans I get your point but in my opinion all of those could be avoided if it weren’t for the throne. As the previous king have said multiple times, (their dad I forgot his name) to be a king you need to sacrifice something and their stories were tragically similar. An ill-fated story because of the restrictions of the throne. Indeed, it wasn’t the throne that changed So he felt betrayed by Soo and Wook. To me, the throne was like the crucial controlling factor that restricted their happiness. And I think Wook wouldn’t have done/said that if it weren’t for the throne either. Just how Soo said as she was about to bid goodbye to everyone in the palace Wook wouldn’t have done that if he knew Soo would suffer(he loved her). And then Soo wouldn’t have been unhappy and pressured if it weren’t for the throne. They were kept apart by none other than the throne. The throne might give you the most power but technically it has more power over the person who rules. It’s very sad for So that even up to this day I feel heartbroken. He didn’t even get to bid farewell to Soo. He lived those times apart resenting and doubting the sincerity of Soo’s love. On the other hand, Soo suffered and yearned for So the whole time. So felt betrayed because of what Wook said about Soo so she made her leave.Wook said that so she could be free. Lastly, she wanted to leave because she became unhappy. The opposite of loving is not hating it was- leaving...

Alyssa Guiling Alyssa Guiling yes i agree about the throne, even Hae Soo once said “its a scary seat” or something like that, but its not like So had any other options, So indeed never wanted the throne until the 3rd prince became a king, do you remember when So grabbed Hae Soo’s hand after King Moo (crown prince) died and they were about to run away but they were blocked by 3rd prince who had already become a king and he threatened them and would never allow Hae Soo to get out of the palace, he even made her a bait to control So (which So hated so much bc he hated being controlled, he had always wanted freedom) So even had to stay away from her to protect her, I personally think So’s reason to want to be a king was the same as Wook’s, they wanted power to protect their people, the difference was Wook didnt have to be a king to be with Hae Soo bc when Hae Soo was ready to leave the palace, she asked Wook to leave with her but Wook turned her down and said he wanted the throne, on the other hand So *had* to become a king, because he nor Hae Soo couldnt leave the palace bc of the reason i mentioned before, it really broke my heart that everyone ended up leaving So alone 😭 its just really tragic, he didnt get the throne bc he desired it, i mean it would be different if he wanted it in the first place, at least he wouldve felt satisfied with where he was, my point is he didnt get anything, its like he lost either way, he really ended up losing everything in the end, my heart cant take the pain whenever i think about Wang So, So really deserved happiness but he didnt get any 😭 even his love didnt stay for him 💔💔💔 but im proud of him bc he managed to become a good king, btw thankyou for the long ass discussion lmao

Arcticvans Wang So suffered for sure. I mean even his life was tragic. It got really sad when he was left by everyone in the last part. You’d thought for the first time he’ll get what he deserved because for so long he’s been struggling but he didn’t. In the end, everyone started to leave him one by one. Wow, that discussion was long haha. It was fun though!

Alyssa Guiling ikr! like he is the one who deserved happiness more than anyone, dont get me wrong everyone else deserved it too but he had been going through a lot and he hadnt really done anything super bad, every action he did even though sometimes it was cruel he didnt do it out of hatred or didnt do it bc he was greedy, i was so moved by his faithfulness towards Hae Soo and i got really sad bc everything he did was still not enough to keep her by his side :””” haha i know its fun to talk about it with someone, i havent moved on yet from that drama and talking about it actually helps 😂
