With the core framing done, we can move on to the overhangs which will dress the building up a bit. The tails we added to the trusses will help establish a soffit and fascia but on the end walls we'll add a ladder frame which will carry this detail up along the roofline.

About those clouds. They are cirrus clouds, and what you're seeing is "fall streaks". The ice crystals that make these clouds tend to grow as water vapor condenses onto them, and at some point they become so large they begin to fall. I would guess that they started from a jet's contrail, which is why the whole structure is linear.

Nice little trick with the claw of the hammer and a screw to lift up the ladder a bit before nailing. It’s probably 10,000 little tricks like this that makes you skilled at something. Thanks Matt and carpenters for an interesting video.

Well, thanks to Master Carpenter and all around good guy Donovan's patient isrtuctions, guidence and management the frame structure is mostly up and it hasn't fallen down into a pile of matchsticks in the wind. That's what you can do with a good crew even with all the hilarious banter that makes it so entertaining to watch. Yuppers, that's one beautiful barn shop going up. Can't wait to see the skin begin going on next episode Matt. I've absolutely no doubt that it'll pass the Lindsey inspection process.

Your production vision for this project is amazing! I love how you are using the 4 different camera perspectives (crane, scissor lift, drone and ground master) to tell the story of how each piece of the construction goes together. I think Russell Morash would be impressed. Nice job! It's a barn thing...

Also, I was wondering: do you have to edit the sound to make it PG, or even G-rated? When I helped out my dad and uncles with roofing projects in Maine, for example, there was some blue language--not to an extreme, but when a tool or a board or something fell off the roof, someone might blurt out, "Oh, sh__." You and the guys you work with are skilled pros, so maybe the language is different in that culture. Or maybe it's regional.

I understand why you didn't want to have another garage door on the other end as a pull-through because it would affect the usable space. But, a suggestion I have would be to have a small, 5'-6' wide (enough for a pallet, or maybe your normal forklift) roll up door on the side of the building where the porch will be, towards the far end. It'll give good access to the porch and be more practical than just a man-door.
