Fun fact, Sour Hering is prohibited on every airline, bc the cans are allready slightly under pressure, so when an airplane would reach its normal altitude, even with a pressurized cabine, the cans would explode...and you don't want to smell sour hering in an airtight cabine. A few decades ago, there were several incidents where airplanes had to do emergency landings bc the cans exploded and everybody on board was throwing up and feeling sick because of the stench.

Srivijaya was only ruled by the Cholas until 1070, and Srivijaya eventually was ruled by another ruling dynasty. We also borrowed their culture and many other (Chinese, Arabs, Persians, etc.) mainly because of trade and the strategic significance of the area, that is mainly the strait of malacca

(0:20) What makes it annoying though about that path through Croatia is that if you want to travel from south Croatia to north Croatia, you have to drive through Bosnia, and go through two tolls. So some people just take a ferry around Bosnia instead. Croatia is so far part of EU, Bosnia isn't; neither is part of the Schengen area. But say in the future, if Bosnia joins the EU, and both joins the Schengen area, that would remove the tolls, and reduce the need for the ferry.

bunch of friends went to sweden, and one of the stuff they tried was surstromming i quote: "the room smelled like a village about to be hit by the bubonic plague" and "nobody wanted to eat it unless the sour cream covered the whole bread" (they ate it on a flatbread thing)
