I'm sorry for this mistake but the Swedish colony in Africa apparently pre-dated The Scramble for Africa and Sweden-Norway. Although Sweden-Norway did take part in the Berlin Conference

Wasn't really a "proper" colony though, was it? Mainly a coastal fortress for slave and gold trading. There was actually a couple of decent adventure comic books made about it in the early 80s called Johan Vilde.

I'm pretty sure New Sweden was further down the coast, and after a while it got taken over and incorperated (probably misspelled that) into the Dutch colony

Um, regarding the African colony, that predates Sweden-Norway, as Norway was still under Denmark and Denmark-Norway csptured the colony and really got into the slave trade after the Swedes where booted out...
