It's an Indian protectorate. It's external affairs are dealt mostly by India so very few countries are allowed to have diplomatic relations with country.

I always suspected Imperial Russia's sale of Alaska to the U.S. was a clever move not just to keep Alaska out of British hands, but to foment permanent animosity between the U.S. and UK/Canada. The Americans would naturally try to annex British Columbia to link up with Alaska, while the British and Canadians would just as naturally seek to eliminate the threat to their own flank. Somewhere deep in the Russian state archives, the text of a meeting of the diplomatic corps surely outlines this sneaky plan.

0:36 fun fact, this wasn’t actually a recognized thing (it wasn’t feasible to enforce) until the British Empire came across it, and began using it as leverage against other European powers trying to settle in the Americas. This is why (besides France) there are an abundance of Anglo-French settlements in the Americas in the 18th century to modern day, because the USA just turned a blind eye to those two, but all 3 would combine to oppose other European powers attempting similar. This is why the Venezuelan Crisis occurred during the Great Rapprochement. Britain was so pleased with the USA’s handling of the dispute (at least compared to Cuba and Spain lmao) that they both grew much closer to one another.

France didn't randomly settle in French Guiana after the Monroe Doctrine was passed, and Britain had already incorporated Bermuda into their country. It was to prevent *further* European colonization.

There are actually more ethnic Mongolians in China than Mongolia. Both the Yuan, which were Mongols, and Qing, which allied themselves with Mongols and eventually took over, saw a lot of ethnic Mongol migrations. You can find Mongolians even in Yunnan, which is at the far south and borders Myanmar and Laos.

It's funny cause Dallas does have a mass transit system but none of it goes to AT&T stadium and Jerry Jones the owner of the Cowboys fights handily against DFW area from putting a line to the stadium or the rest of the entertainment complex in Arlington even though there's already a train line 4 miles away from the stadium

Actually New Jersey has some of the best transit in the US. The MetLife stadium is even served by its own rail line, known as the Meadowlands Line. Granted it only runs for games, but still.
