Brutal. Clean. Fast. Nice. But being your sparring partner I would wear some jacket and gloves. Doing techniques in that speed is a matter of time to make little mistake which end with broken finger.

Dude, the counter attack with the upperblock then pushing the hand away to immedietly strike? That technique is also in Arnis. It's really cool how universal many techniques are across arts.

I am new to messer having only been to a short seminar with Jess Finley last year and just got my sigi messer last month but I enjoyed your presentation. Maybe some day I will get to use my messer vs another messer.

From the first throw, instead of just bending the arm and hoping that causes enough pain that he willingly goes down, you should step through with your right leg and sweep out his right leg. In judo, this is called Osoto Gari, the major outer reaping. Source: Judo Brown Belt

With the first throw, would it be better to step through and trap the leg as well?

Instead of "trapping", you should sweep/reap the leg, like in Osoto Gari. Watch a video on Osoto Gari and you'll see what I mean.
