I once hated superman too, it wasn't because of his storytelling, it was because Death Battle had superman win against downplayed goku back in 2013 and especially 2015. I too looked for ways to downplay superman to give goku a reason to beat him. By 2019 I started reading DC comics and I soon came to realize I was wrong. While Death Battle was wrong in goku's stats, they were right about having Superman win. When we take superman's best feats into consideration, nevermind this quote on quote consistent feats but at his absolute best, you are right, he is unbeatable.

Truth be told Superman is a very Underrated Character Nowadays (Not to mention Hater who receives), the same thing happens with other Characters (Like the Hulk for example).

I'll say this at this point i think as consepts like superman and Darkseid as just "are" or "is" they are not good not evil they just are. However their avatars are adapting to what's best to represent their consept better in the confinement of a certain universe and its environment while adhering to its power scaling and its different for each universe from the infinite multiverse. My view of Superman is twofold. There are a lot of wholesome stories about Superman, stories like those told in Superman Red and Blue and others where his personality and message truly shines. They are pretty uplifting and nice. Then there is the part I hate. When he is depicted as some kind of cosmic Messiah, when he is shown as all-powerful and perfect in every way. When he is shown as the only person who can save the day and the most important figure in the universe. It just feels uncanny, everything depending on one individual, all the statues and hero worship. It also overshadows the other heroes and it's so annoying when even they worship him. I hate this version of Superman. This cult-like mentality around him. It's annoying. There should be multiple heroes that save the day and work as a team as equals, instead we have this one "alien" perfect Übermensch. Who... is loved and revered by everyone, the most powerful, always is that one person who saves existence in crucial moments, has unlimited powers and is some kind of god-figure in the capital G sense.

Honestly a long time ago (2015 lol) I was a Superman hater. I didn’t even hate him at first, but found his optimism and hope annoying. That’s cuz I was being an edgy teenager. After like my second year of high school I was like, “Bruh…. this man is the goat. I think authors of comics are way over their fucking heads. Not just DC but also in Marvel. Thor killing Black Winter, Avengers fighting against Masters of evil who kills gods for fun, Wonder Woman defeating Darkest Knight. Superman doing his Superman stuff. I know they are doing it for decades but I think it´s became more and more frequent in modern comics and it´s just exhausting.

I think there's something to be said about the nature of his character in a meta perspective and this can also apply to a lot of other comic characters but I feel it's something that's most acceptable with Superman. The fact that Superman has been around for decades and has gone through so many writers and the nature of his character requires him to always push through with hope and strength, you can essentially get away with having him do anything. You can't exactly put a cap on his strength. I could get hired by D.C. right now to write for Superman and have him hold a cosmic ball of energy that has the weight of the infinite multiverse in his hand and play catch with his son with it and it would be accepted and published so long as the story is decent. Then the next writer can come along and have him struggle to lift a building within that same canon.

I know who he is that's cool. But once i found out about anime/manga i fell in love with that. Supermans base self without anything else is beaten by any anime/manga character, because they train they work hard and fight those hornor fights. 😊
