I mean, Superman fought with Darkseid, Doomsday, His Pre-Crisis incarnation, Superboy Prime, and so much more. All Metroman did was just Move fast to "stop time". Superman is No stranger to fighting foes who can do that. Clark raced with the Flash for a good while, And Wally West flash and Barry Alan flash's race almost destroyed the DC Multiverse. There is Absolutely *_NOTHING_* Metroman has that can even come close to keeping up with Superman's speed and power. Hell, Superman flew all the way to the Source Wall in order to pin Darkseid against it, And That is at the edge of the DC universe itself. And also, Superman has encountered Jokester like characters before such as Emperor Joker, Mr. Mxyzptlk, and more. Also the "Metroman is a Joke Character!!!!11!1" thing is just so very stupid. I mean come on, there is No indication at all that Metroman is some sort of Joke or Gag character, and he's also not some Omnipresent Omnipotent Undefeatable Fiction soloing God of everything just because of his superspeed. Superman has shown just as, if not FAR more impressive and far more CONSISTENT things. Now, look, don't get me wrong, Metroman and Saitama are Great characters, and they are extremely powerful in their own rights, but to be completely honest, Superman has just done more impressive and more consistent things than Metroman and Saitama combined.

Some/most people forget that Superman downplays most of his abilities because of the other heroes around him. He could do it all if he wanted to! He could be the smartest person in the DC Universe if he wanted to. Listen, Marvel's Sentry is basically Superman One Million. That sums it up enough for me. Sentry's cells are sped up, which allows him to manipulate energy on an atomic/molecular level. As Much as Superman has grown under and Sun dipped, this too would allow him the same abilities, if not more because he is biological and Sentry is artificial (A crackhead, as it were lol). This is why Superman would come out on top in most cases, even against Silver Surfer because he too was "Granted" power...not born to it like Kal El of Krypton, Clark Kent from Smallville, Superman of Earth.

Guts is a really powerful Human and Zod is still stronger but they're relevant.
