the rework to turret arc is making for a really fun engineer oc to me. i have a ton of fun flowing platforms more into my combat, esp since i often ended missions without using them nearly as much beforehand. overall i think driller got more *fun* overclocks but i think engineers are overall very strong still.

in my testing I saw that if I use a temp shock wave cooker I can have very good results. Enemies that walk over the ice take dmg and get a lot of cold dmg or freeze right away. The ice crystals will break but if you place them again under the frozen bugs they will take dmg without the crystals instantly breaking. When you use the temp shock and they survive, the temp of the enemies resets but if they walk over another ice crystal they freeze again while also getting their cold dmg raised again due to other bugs getting temp shocked. It saves ammo and has good potential. The dmg boost of the frozen status with the dmg of the ice crystals and the temp shock synergize well. 🤓

These new nerf gun colors look so EXQUISITE Also i'd like to just say how satisfying it is to see ice sticking to the ground for longer like your actually freezing it, now all we need is an OC called slippery ice

What I lovr about this OC is that say you are freezing a Praetorian and shoot at it, it will go through it. Meaning that from the right angle you can freeze it by shooting directly at it PLUS freeze it with the sticky ice. This pairs well with Plasma Charger's flame shos, because you can temp shock it twice in quick succession because the sticky ice won't let the cold go away after the shock!

This Overclock made me love Driller. I can't stop playing with it, the amount of Crowd Control that gives is amazing.

Re: 8:00 More overclocks for the guns we already have is what I've wanted since Season 2, and tbh it's a little disappointing. Sticky Cryo is neat enough if maybe not especially effective, but Combustive Goo Mix seemed like exactly what I wanted. I already ran a Sludge Pump/Fire EPC to set the goo on fire, but then you read the last downside and in practice it's worse than going OCless for a fire Sludge Pump build. I agree, Gunner was easily the winner here. Even if the new OCs aren't best in slot at least they all do something interesting. Making the reload on the Lead Storm actually cool the gun has been such a weird myth for so long it's really funny they turned it into an actual mechanic. This mod has one *gigantic* advantage over all flamethrower sticky flame builds. The mods you apply to the Cyro cannon *also* apply to the ground crystals.

Gunner definitely got the best set of Overclocks, Driller's a very close contender though, they're all equally fun and versatile, (Scorching Tide lets me play like a Sticky Fuel and Face Melter hybrid and it's really fun). Engineer's are pretty good as well, I have yet to try Scout's but yeah, first impressions they are the weakest ones out of this season which is unfortunate.

it just takes so much ammo to freeze a couple bugs man, just make a pure freeze build with the freezing oc and you'll do just as much, also sticky flames

My favorite overclock for the cryo cannon is ice spear. I love to freeze things then to be able to one hit almost any enemy in game.

What secondary do.y0u think pairs best with this cryo build? ideally what has the highest DPS and compensates the most for the cryo cannon's shortcomings with this OC :)

i wouldn't take cold radiance with this as it is a redundant option, and fragile speeds up the horde clear anyway.

where do i get the nerf gun skin from? cargo crates? lost packs?

This oc is pretty sweet. I use the epc with persistent plasma oc 2nd though. You can feeze everything then epc the area and it will kill everything walking into that area

Great run. Personally I'm excited for your rundown of the CRSPR one - been trying different builds and only a sticky flame one has felt serviceable in haz 5 for me, with the OC function reserved for stingrails and praets that wanna get comfy. Not sure if that's the best way to go about it though.

Of all the new overclocks, this one looks to be the most promising. Because I like to use the Ice Storm Overclock to damage and freeze at the same time, I'm presuming that new Nucleation overclock will accomplish the same purpose, plus freeze enemies faster.

I really wanna like conductive thermals, but right now it feels so undertuned, and even anti-synergistic in some ways. For one, the damage increase is pretty small for how specific it is (up to 100% more fire, frost, or electric damage). That might sound like a lot, but this is also at it's max ramping: each individual shot only adds 5% and so you need to hit 20 times to get to that full 100%. Then those status effects just aren't that powerful, especially on scout (you'd use them more on weak enemies that would never live 20 hits from plasma carbine anyway). The strongest thing this OC does is lower the burn and freeze thresholds of enemies, but most enemies are easy to burn so you only really care about freeze. Pairing this with cryo minelets or cryo bolts could be really good, but whoops, now you don't have a powerful direct damage option to combo with cause this overclock cuts a third of the gun's direct damage. You just have to rely on teammates taking out the frozen bugs cause otherwise you'd be better off with base drak. There's also a neat interaction with plasma splash where that spreads the debuff as well, so you can reach max stacks with only 10 shots, spread it in crowds, and hit armored targets (oh yeah btw this debuff does not go through armor like marked for death does rip), but then that cuts your direct damage even more. You can get the direct damage all the way down to 1 this way, which is funny but nearly unusable. Feel like the only way to build this OC to be good is if the entire team builds around elemental damage, and even then I'm not sure it's worth it.

Yeah... this overclock is not even close to being as effective as sticky fuel is unfortunately. Just found myself using it as I normally would because it didnt freeze things properly. Put on many layers of it, but felt like some enemies just didnt get frozen at all. I wouldn't say it's bad, but it won't be my go to oc that's for sure

Driller is eating good this season, all 3 over clocks are fun and good.

I think that people are getting carried by the thought of being a "sticky flames but on ice" but... Is not great, sticky flames are good because of the heat spread and the fact that you can use them preamtembly when a swarm comes, you can place the flames and let them push you and die... The cold ones can't do that, they get destroy as soon as an enemy steps on it meaning not even the very same bug that destroyed them will get the full effect... So for a bug to take constant dmg it has to be already on it and without moving... That happens when you freeze them, but at that point they take x3 dmg from everything, you probably you'll pretty much kill them if you shoot again your primary to create the spikes under them (with your main dmg not the spikes) Looks bad so far but... What's the actual effect of the spikes? Negligible damage over time, really, test it, is almost a joke, and... Half of the freezing that you usually get for the ground freeze you get without overclock (75% of you take both freezing power mods) Small enemies take too long to die, which is funny because since they are frozen, you can almost snease and kill them but this still takes a while... And bigger enemies won't even notice such a small dot. I feel like if they didn't get destroyed when a bug steps on it, it could be a pretty decent overclock, but rn, is almost better to take nothing than using it.

Yeah I have to agree Scout overclocks are definitely the weakest in this season wild Gunner has the best overclocked in this season.

I feel like the driller OC's are stronger than engies. The pump action is fun, but not crazy good, and definitely not better than mpa, the stubby one doesn't feel super transformative, and the lok1 is okay, but definitely nowhereclose to as good as ecr or executioner. By contrastfor drillers ocs 1 dumps on nemesis, 1 destroys groups, and the cryo is just decent. For context, I play all classes but slightly favor scout and engie
