Accidentally uninstalled steam so now I'm just binge watching every kevin video also does anyone remember the short rivalry there was between driver and GTA for example in GTA 3 there is a mission called "two faced tanner " where you have to kill tanner who is useless outside of his car and in driv3r there is a mission where you have to kill "timmy vermicelli" who goes around killing everyone and has armbands because he can't swim.

The PC port is pretty terrible controls wise. It was designed with consoles in mind.

The.gamr literally works 100% the samr as the PS2 version.if you just plug a controller in and setupbthe controls in the options menu. You can define everything - I even have the triggers doing accel/brake.

I love this comment, I remember playing this with my brothers and cousins on my PS2. We'd always do the free-ride mode and whenever somebody died they had to give the controller to another person. I honestly loved this game.

For the people who don't know: The (Driver) Series used to be better and more popular than GTA back in the Playstation 1 days. Both driver 1 and 2 were heavy sellers on the PS1, outselling GTA. So the hype for Driv3r was big, as it would be the first game in the series to use the PS2 power. But the game was rushed unfinised to the markets, payng the critics to give the game a good score. which made this game a flop. Ubisoft should port the old games to mobile. Driver 1 + Driver 2 would make good mobile games

Reflection is a part of Ubisoft. Their name is literally Ubisoft Reflections. Also Ubisoft reflection is just the developer, Ubisoft is the Publisher. In the same way that The Sims is still a EA game even though it's developed by Maxis. So if they were to port the old games to pc it would be published by Ubisoft for Uplay

The driver series always had the best driving physics. Its original ethos was to be like old Hollywood car chases, but then GTA got so big and they fell into the whole GTA clone trap and lost their way. It's a shame

@@TeRraAwTisM You realise Driver 1 and 2 set the benchmark for open world driving games way before GTA did right? Theres no reason why they had to then follow GTA when they released Driv3r. Driver San Francisco was a far better game, quality wise and thats because it was more like the original Driver. Again the whole point of Driver 1&2 was to feel like you're in a Hollywood movie, with Hollywood car chases and stunts ect. However after the GTA 3D universe did so well they decided to copy them rather than stick to what made them successful to begin with. Driver 1 was the first 3D open world action driving game. Driver 2 was the first 3D driving game that allowed you to exit your car ect. Imagine, if Driv3r had added something just as ground breaking instead of playing it safe

Used to love this game on PS2.(until someone scratched my disc and it wouldn’t work anymore) I would use cheats to unlock all the other locations, guns, and spawn cars 🤫. Once again, I seem to remember the graphics and physics being great when I was 12 🤣

I remember this game. I just went and unlocked all the locations but never played any of the missions. I remember the wonky controls and how you could change the time and weather for each place plus how I'd always here the chanting prayers when you drive by that church in Istanbul.

I looooved this game back in the day. I just spent my time playing on the weekends driving around. I dont know why i loved it so much. The crashing and damage was what really sold it to me. I loved seeing my cars get deformed. I always played with cheats on though. Invincibility was great because i just liked driving and running from police. Oh and the infinite mass cheat on the Istanbul map is so much fun. Shooting buses off into space is fun.

I bought this game off a friend for £6 when I was 11. Played the absolute hell out of it until I finally convinced my mum to get me San Andreas for my birthday. Now I'm 25 and still playing (and modding) San Andreas. Imagine if Driv3r was actually finished when they released it. 3 different cities in 3 different countries? Could have been a classic. But it was enough to entertain me and my brother until San Andreas came along, so I'll give it that much credit. Anyway, I'm rambling because I haven't slept. You should check out Driver: Parallel Lines. Takes place in 2 different time periods, but I never managed to get through the first one. Good video, thumbs up. Peace

I remember loving Driver 2 and when this came out I was so hyped for it. The graphics back then looked awesome to me but the gameplay was so bad like I remember getting stuck at the second or third mission all the time because I wouldn't know what to do lol. There is an other Driver game after this one which better then this. I barely played it so dont remember much of it.

- You can change the settings of the controllers in the options (and put the Fire button on the mouse for example) - You are playing with the game unpatched i think, you should install the Patch #2 - They are some fixes made by the community (or at least a invincibility cheat code that works for the missions too) - DRIVER is life

Olanov If you went to the airport in Niece you could fall through the floor in a guaranteed same spot each time and run around. Me and my buddy call it the Underworld. And you had to go to a certain corner and jump all the way back out 😂

Wow this game doesn't have key rebinding options? Guess that's another sign this game was really rushed out the door by Atari. I still recall how this game made fun of GTA by including a character who is a parody of Tommy Vercetti from Vice City, and Rockstar's response was to give Madd Dogg some dialogue during the stealth mission at his mansion in San Andreas where he criticizes the game he's playing by directly mentioning the names of both the main character of Driv3r and the game's developer Reflections. Same deal with True Crime: Streets of LA, they made fun of Rockstar with an in-game jock strap ad called "Jockstar" and Rockstar responded with the "True Grime: Street Cleaner" ad in San Andreas that uses the same font and coloring as the True Crime logo. Yeah basically this was an era where any game that tried to go after GTA tried to tell Rockstar "we're the new hotness now!" and when they failed Rockstar responded in kind by mocking them back. Saints Row was the first game series I can think of that not only successfully managed to capture part of the GTA audience (mainly people who wanted a game more akin to the PS2 era titles and less like the gritty realism of GTA4), but when they mocked GTA in ads I legit don't think Rockstar ever responded back.

I remember playing this game, I had to check the map every now and again and plan my route. I played it so much I remember all 3 cities and the landscape, it was really amazing how much the game offered back in the day.

Kevin! You should play swat 4!! It’s a police type game, you stop a crime in progress, e.g a terrorist attack or a heist by killing/subduing criminals, saving the hostages if you can and find information in a swat team. You control what they do, e.g how they approach a room, order them to secure hostages, hold fire, search rooms etc. It’s an older game but not too old. It can be so hilarious and random which is something I think you’d like. Please try! 💖

I had Driv3r on PS2 as a kid, was beyond excited for it to come out as I had experience with Driver 1 and 2. I got it on launch day, I was 11 at the time. Yes!! I'm so glad you played this game. It was my "GTA" before I had GTA:SA on PS2. I even went back and finished the game recently on my pc. Although a failure for Atari, I really thought it had a great atmosphere and *SOUNDTRACK*!! Please keep doing episodes of this :)

I love this game, even when I was younger I found it weird how it was triangle to get into a car in gta Vice City but in Driv3r you had to press like L2 or something and I found that very strange

I've played this game. I've beaten this game. I can still remember the pain of having to redo that hotel mission. it still haunts me in my sleep at night. I'll be a few feet from the end and clip a curb. Then it's back to square one.
