then welcome back 😊 Trenton was good to us..just grew to busy for us.. so now in Tweed. DO MISS the planes tho. Must admit. Still go back now and again. Now we are one of THOSE ppl THAT enjoy a fast meal in the car in the parking lot along RCAF Road to watch the jets lol lol. thanks for stopping in with us and commenting. 👍

Great tour! My daughter works at CFB Trenton. Haven't seen her in a year thanks to Covid. Nice to see you drive by the hanger she works in. Helps me to keep closer to her so thank you for that..

Oh thats HARD. Hate how this political virus is keeping family's apart. Ask your daughter to send you some clips of her day on the base. only a few that wouldn't allow it.. not like it's going online other to her parents directly. ton's of them do it.. especially when far from loved one's. Hope you's get to see your daughter soon. Have a blessed week.

really enjoyed my 6 years on that base. learned alot.. got to see first hand how much our military family's sacrifice for us. life long friendships

I was raised in Trenton... back when milk was delivered in bottles by horse and wagon....bread and bakery truck did home deliveries too...you could walk on the foot bridge/train and the other bridge was smaller than the one you on showing going towards Gilmore Hill...My first student summer job was AW as a carhop....My dad worked at the Trenton Air Base after WW 2 until he retired. Towers took a lot of Trenton's business for a bit but it bounced back....moved to PEI in 73....tried living in Trenton again in 2002....but so much had changed...I returned back to PEI after only 3 months...I have watched your video several times when I miss home. Tweed is a lovely area.

oh Wanda. what a lovely story. We moved from oshawa/brooklyn area into consecon.. stayed there till the kids all moved out ( small farm) after the big one in brooklyn. then moved into trenton. had a beautiful victorian home on francis street ( to big for just us) then we downsized.. trenton grew so fast even while we were living there. still getting to big.. so... up we went to actinolite in tweed. we are chasing yesteryear lol.. the quieter life. we worked on the base for 6 years as well. i loved it. As busy as trenton has become? it's still norman rockwell compared to oshawa lol. thanks for stopping in and sharing your history 🙋‍♀️🤍

You prob seen a few new buildings along the hwy.. on both north and south side. as for downtown? was doing quite well when we first moved to this area.. what killed it? literally? was " of course".. wallmart.!!

We have always invited people for the air shows. We even rented a wheelchair for Gary's Dad to take him around to see the static display. He enjoyed it.

oh man.. like close to 500 of you each summer lol I love seeing you's all. Your going to eat well. lol Canada does feed the troops quite well. Have fun this summer. A great experience for you. Wait till you see the place.

That town looks like many of the cities here in Maine due to Walmart and other big box stores. neat looking at all that history. Thanks for the tour.

walmart.. literally responsible for all dead down town areas and thousands of small business.. dead. ( i don't like walmart and avoid it all i can lol) .. if covid hadn't hit? i could have given such a wonderful INSIDE tour of that base.. it's fascinating. we were blessed to have jobs on it for 5 yrs prior to full retirement. it's a great place for fun money job.

This is before business began thriving in the area. This was not shot two years ago. This is must have been shot around 2015/16ish. Things are different in the region now.

We really do love our base. Even worked on it over 6 yrs. But.... we are ready to love them much further then a 6 min drive lol. Much much longer. Lol

I stumbled on this wandering around youtube. I'm a former 'base brat' who spent some of my best growing up years there. We lived in Middleton Park. Thank you so much for doing this! It certainly brought back some great memories for me. I posted a link to it in a facebook group I admin ("Canadian CFB Base Brats" plug plug)! You'll probably notice a bit of a bump in your view count as a result.

our friend Kim is a base brat and belongs to that same group as well.. working on the base was a retirement job for Andy and I.. ( as cleaners) we both LOVED our job.. not management but loved the military and the civvies.. made lots of life long friends in those buildings. Respect fully what those in service give up.. seen it daily when some are shipped off..got to know some of the family's as well. Proud of our military. Wish the covid hadn't hit.. I'd have LOVED to show SOME buildings on the other side of the entrance.. and of course avoid others for obvious reasons.. but. Feel it was best to stay only what can been seen from a public road. Don't want to be the eye that helps show what google earth isn't already showing.. know what i mean? lol. but ..ya.. LOVED our working on base years.. Canada's largest AirBase.. very proud we shared lives with many serving. thanks for watching and im thrilled it brought back happy memories for you.. does for us as well.
