I never understood exactly how it all works but now I do Now when I watch things that come up on youtube I actually analyze the swing to see if they are doing it correct. I could almost start teaching the hackers. Thanks for sharing your uncomplicated teaching skills

Clear, concise and excellent instruction - ALWAYS. Maybe the best at explaining what is actually going on during the golf swing, both when executing correctly and when you’re in bad positions too, and what to watch for. Superb instructor. I keep coming back to you for clarity and help when things go off track. Thank you for helping us!

That head movement drill is just what i needed, i was leaning back with weight on the right side, i would hit a massive slive or top the ball. I practiced the door frame drill , took it to the course, now i hit it solid with a baby draw. Thanks Jonathan, love the content.

Re-watch the final swing in slow motion (you can use the > key to go frame by frame). You can really see how he keeps the club back as long as possible. It's like the body untwisting generates the power of the first half of the downswing. So excited to try this. Go away winter!

Great video. I've taken a couple of lessons to stop coming over the top and hit with more power. Working great for mid irons through wedges. But using these mechanics with the driver I am hitting it very fat or hitting the ground before the ball. Can't figure it out.

Great video. Quick q.. I've been incorporate almost all that you said in the video for quite sometime so my swing path is definitely in to out. However, my face relative to path is always pointing out. How can I get my hands and wrist to help get the face back to square? I know of some drills/techniques like the "squeeze/twist the towel or stronger grip" but my face is still pointing out a lot. I don't know much else that can help

Love your channel, you give such good information that is very understandable. Do you mind making a video talking about the direction of the driver swing? Is it a downward motion toward your feet line or a under and swing out motion?

Hi Jonathan. THX for your helpful videos. Is the position of the shaft relative to the trail arm (Biceps) in the downswing, also true for a swing with other clubs. Like wood or irons?

Good stuff just watched part 4 on the follow through. May I ask when do you rotate your forearms (left supinate) in the downswing? Also why do we encounter problems squaring the face with driver vs irons/hybrids? About the ulnar deviation you mention in part 4, since it wasnt mention here in part 3, does it mean you only ulnar after impact? Greatly appreciate your time & effort

Jonathon, I love your instruction! I will say that I do not have a great swing however, after the last few years of concentrating on proper golf swing technique, I have improved yet I have been striking the ball super high in the air lately. There was a time (recently), where I was nailing my driver anywhere from 220 to 280 yds at my best! But when I tried to bring my hands higher (around head level), then shallow my club and swing, I would hit a very high/weak drive! The obvious thing is that I am hitting up on the ball too much! Yet I cannot figure out why this is, when I'm only getting higher hands in the backswing (closer to head level) and I still feel like I'm shallowing the club properly!? Any suggestions? Thank you sir!

Will there be a pull-down movement of the hand when the downswing is done? Are the hands and hips separate movements? Or the position of the hand towards the inside is caused by the transition?

When trying to shallow the club in the downswing, dissecting my bicep or lining with forearm, I feel tension in my trail elbow and wrist which often times leads to elbow pain. Any tips or feels I could try to help mitigate that awkwardness?

Great video and series!! Do your wrists move radially on the downswing, and through impact?
@JKMGolf
@JKMGolf Жыл бұрын
In the downswing and follow through the wrists will not increase in radial deviation. it will go more into ulnar deviation and after a certain point will go back into more radial deviation as you get closer to the finish.
