nice work, I'm soon to be tackling something similar here in the UK, only difference is the steering wheel is on the right hand side, I like the height you have standing the body up on tressles like that, I'm gonna copy that, I'm leaving the floor pan on while I renew inner body patches, then seperating the two when it comes time to do floor panels, suspension, master brake cylinder, ....if fact everything on the chassis with total access. keep em coming you're an inspiration.

I spent a year of my life doin' a '71 Beetle. But my 'reward' has given me 15 years of absolute pleasure after complete restoration. Worth the pain. Don't forget to inject wax on all Inner Channels for long life. Best wishes from Australia.

How do you know where the heater channel needs to be welded? Do you have a set of prints with the measurements?

E-man you will sleep good tonight that door lined up well shut nice and solid, the rest is just clean up and fill in work.
