No, I happen to be alone now... I work on my 72 standard bug. My wife bought me a year before she died, and it will finally be on the road this month... I will make a trip to Florida in it as I promised her to sprinkle a few of her ashes in the ocean as she asked me to do... I hope yo make this trip this August, so I am trying to save up for the trip... finishing the bug as I promised her I would do, and her little Chihuahua has been my only emotional support... they say what don't kill you only makes you stronger... but every day is a struggle, and I sure know your dad's pain...

So satisfying to get rid of the cancer like that and replace with new metal! Those window defroster hoses were the culprits of the fire. You might want to replace them if you want your window defrosters to work. To prevent rust in the new channels and to the pan you can use Eastwood Internal Frame Coating, or POR-15. You can also treat the nook and crannies with Rust Converter to neutralize surface rust.

I appreciate these videos. It’s where I will be heading in the future. Where’s a good place to get body panels these days?? Floors and some parts I have came from JC Whitney in 1990. All good stuff back then. Watching the video and living in this Cold winter climate I never thought to just start a fire in the heater channels ha ha. I put about 200,000 miles on 3 Bugs. You can’t believe how happy I was to get a car that had a heater. Now I want to be driving a Bug again BUT just in the summer 🙀
@VWJawbreaker
@VWJawbreaker 3 жыл бұрын
There’s a few places on like that offer decent panels but most are the same repop panels that needs massaging to make fit. I’d have to agree that if I lived up there I’d skip the performance part and opt for heaters!
