You should get into LTL, with your experience you don’t want to drive for a company that micro manages their drivers. I gross $2,500+ a week home every weekend for 48 hours off. I left JB Hunt because of them putting in driver facing cameras and the lack of freight half the time. I was making $1,800 a week at JB Hunt in the beginning then 3 years later my gross was barely $1,400 a week.

I turned my ID and keys to them march 2nd after 5 years the day they installed the camera in my truck

U re being nice u know that camera talks and that’s a big problem every time u look down it starts talking “ distracted” JB Hunt sucks and it’s getting worse low pay but they don’t mind spending millions of dollars on camera instead of focusing on paying their drivers. Sad PS: they do watch ur entire shift I got called out on some event that the camera didn’t talk or nothing but they mentioned it to me which let me know that they do watch ur shift if they want to.

I agree I have not had any problems with the cameras. I had it go off once saying I was speeding but it didn’t record it just gave me a warning although it was wrong but even after talking with my manager they don’t worry about it

We actually had drivers complain about how it sends a video clip to dispatch about not having seatbelt on moving up from the fuel island

They must know by now if accident rates go up or down at on trucks with inward facing cameras. I wouldn't be surprised if this is like red light cameras, where the tech often has opposite intended effect, especially with nonsense like bogus speeding and phone use warnings distracting driver.
