@@jay-ar1927 1.) "Tailgating" is illegal. You can be fined for that. No only is it illegal, it's dangerous. I'm not going to risk my brand new Audi by tailgating some piece of crap 1973 chevy that probably doesn't have insurance. Most people think like this. 2.) Not using your turn signal 120 feet prior to changing lanes is illegal. 3.) Most people follow the rules of the road. In Japan, in the US, in Europe. 4.) You just want so bad for Japan to have a one up on the US that you're willing to fabricate nonsense. You know what Japan has that the US doesn't? Unit 731. There you go. 5.) ONLY 50 billion goes to only 1 rail operator ( Amtrack) Amtrack doesn't own all the rail lines in the nation in order to put that 50 billion to use on that infrastructure. But the nail in the coffin is that 50 billion is chump change of what it costs to get ANY rail network to the level of Japan/China or even the whole continent of Europe. edit: the bill has been changed so many freaken times its annoying

Japan is crowded, most crowded cities tend to build elevated highways to make the best use for the space they have. As for US, US does not need to build elevated highways because US have plenty of land and US rarely build highways in the middle of the city. If US does build highways in the middle of the city, it'd be under the city like the Boston Highway Tunnel and Seattle Tunnel. US have the greatest highways system in the world, they are huge, wide especially in Texas and Florida
