Fancy seems like a great learner. You can really see how seriously she's taking the advice, responding to everything Richard says and committing it to memory. I'm not surprised she was able to pass her test just a couple of weeks after this. Excellent display of Richard's teaching skills too, it's fascinating to see how precisely he can tailor a lesson to somebody's exact needs after just one mock test with them.

27:00 I think you should underline that "cover the clutch" means "be ready to press the clutch pedal but do not press it even slightly yet". She keeps pressing clutch nearly halfway instead of covering it which is a sure way to destroy the clutch prematurely if she takes that as a habit.

Hi Richard, just wanted to drop a message here to say thanks for all your videos. I've probably watched them all (some of them multiple times) and they were invaluable for my passing the test last week (with only 3 minors). I still don't feel as I've "conquered driving", but I'm getting there :) Also, I'll keep watching (and re-watching some older videos) as I always learn something new. Cheerio!

Another great vedio for me as a learner. Fantastic demo of how our mind can subconsciously affect our actions on driving operations, which could eventually lead to our muscle memories.I realized that's why many drivers could not even figure out how accident happened while also could insist on their rightness. I am of this group who is easily to still operate at my hesitation but not aware of it previously. And now, I understand that such behavior could cause safety issues. Thank you so much , Richard ❤ Thanks, Fancy.🌹

I think it might be easier for students to understand how to use the clutch if you told them that clutch has very limited lifespan for the middle part of the pedal movement and it costs per second. Holding the clutch fully down or fully up is free! And it's important to not even touch the clutch pedal when you're driving for longer distances because any extra weight on the pedal will cause extra wear to thrust bearing of the clutch.

Hi Richard, I never really post any comments here on KZfaq but I think it's appropriate for me to say thank you! I passed my driving test this week for the first time despite my driving instructor telling me a month ago that I'm not ready for my test. I practiced and took the test using my own car with the help of my fiancé. Your videos and advice greatly help me to pass my test. All the best to you Richard and I hope you continue to be a blessing to other learner drivers like me. To all learner drivers that have their driving instructor tell them you're not ready. If you feel like you are and believe that you can do it then go for it. Like Richard said the examiner wanted to see you're a safe driver. As long as everything you are doing is safe even if it's not perfect the examiner will pass you. But even if you don't pass the test you still gain experience and can take it again. Good luck to everyone!

If anything this is teaching me more how to use the handbrake, because I've annoyingly been learning in a car with a Parking Brake (Electronic), which you don't have to un-apply 'cos it does it by itself with gas. For the car I'll really be driving after Test, I'll need to learn handbrake all over again after passing, especially when to un-apply it. Kinda annoying! Also lol @ 37:57 Richard can't make up his mind about pigeons :D

I have a question Can we use high beams on motor ways or roads with no street lights and lots of bends and street lights In narrow roads like country side its doesnt give much time to before oncoming car is already near u and you have to switch to low
@ConquerDriving

Use high beams when you won't dazzel other road users. There isn't a need to use high beams when there is street lights. Also, be thoughtful of bright lights in residential areas, as they can shine into houses.

For going straight (12 o'clock on the sign) I assume left lane if there are two lanes unless road signs or markings direct me otherwise. If there are three lanes I assume middle.
