G42 goes up to Chengdu Expressway, which is an expressway in China connecting Shanghai and Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is the 10th of the 18 east-west horizontal lines of China's national expressway network.
The Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway starts from the Zhenbei Road Interchange in Putuo District, Shanghai in the east, and ends at the Shilitian Underpass Tunnel in Chenghua District, Chengdu in the west. The total length of the line is 1,982.366 kilometers.
The Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway was fully completed on December 27, 2014.

Yes, Thanks, this is an expressway built in a mountain, and construction is extremely difficult! Pretty much just bridges and tunnels.

An incredible expressway, hanging high above Yangtze river, with so many tunnels and high bridges. I guess the engineers that planned it and the workers who built it have to be really proud of this work. Thanks a lot for sharing, as usual a great pleasure to discover different regions of China with your videos, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

Thank you for your support! my friend. The construction of this expressway is indeed very difficult. It consists almost of bridges and tunnels. Engineers need to overcome the difficulties caused by various complex terrains!

Absolutely incredible drive. Must've been even more amazing to see in person I'm sure! 🤩 My favourite moment was at 1:11:15 how quickly you go from rural landscapes to suddenly being surrounded by skyscrapers lol
