Driving On WA SR-529 South In 1983 (Everett)

Жыл бұрынBack in 1983, The Washington State Department of Transportation drove South on SR-529 and recorded video to document the highway. This was part of a project that photographed/videotaped the states highways every couple of years. This video now resides at The Washington State Archives who were kind enough to share it.

Thank you for the glimpse of old downtown Marysville at the beginning of the video. I grew up there and it was nice to see it before it all got torn down in the late '80s to make way for the Town Center Mall. IMHO, if Marysville would have been smart they would have preserved that area and turned it into a historical district like downtown Snohomish or Fairhaven up in Bellingham. The mall has always been kind of a flop.

Living in Seattle, the only reason I was aware of Everett back then was because of the tire fires.
