Amped to Glamp has a video on their Bounder showing the improvement with a bit more insulation. Seems like something we'll be doing in the future as well! I've noticed that this is just a bit quieter than our previous E-450 based motorhome and MUCH quieter than the CAT engine bus that we began converting, though that was a front-engine. None of these compare to a nice diesel pusher. You can barely hear those motors running from the front!

Hello! Absolutely, very comfortable cruising around! It's interesting, the performance is similar enough, but slightly better. The axle ratio is higher in this, as I understand it. Our F-53's 6.14 vs. the E-450's 4.56. The engine is also slightly tuned differently, though it's tough to get solid numbers on that from Ford. The E-450 for 22 and 23 MYs are showing 325HP whereas the F-53 is showing either 335HP or 350HP, depending on when they were made. That should be an easy software tune though, so I don't put much stock into it. It's definitely a little bit quieter, though I'm not sure why that is. The camera's microphone amps up the lower sounds, and drops the louder ones. The real test is that it feels like Emma and I can still hold a conversation in this whereas it was more difficult in the Esteem we had! The motor may just be a bit farther away from us is all I can think. We should definitely be adding in some more insulation down the road though, it can't hurt! No sway at all on the freeway, it's just so much more stable than that garbage that was installed on the Esteem!! Night and day, truly. It's a shame how much money is required to upgrade these chassis to make them stable. There's no reason an E-450 should have felt like our Esteem did! The seats are pretty solid. I could use a bit more lumbar support, but very comfortable all in all. I miss my old Ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn's seats, but I've never sat in anything better than those! There's a little bit of cabin noise, but I've noticed that it tends to be from stuff sliding around or hard turns and twists. Compared to the last rig, this is MUCH better! I believe that the Esteem was 8'6" at the widest, as is the Vacationer. It feels MUCH larger though, because it doesn't pinch in the front. No complaints here whatsoever!
