I either assembled or made parts for that bus body. I worked at Wayne from July of 1976 to Halloween of 1992.

They're so loud. Our church had one. Everyone hated how loud it was... Everyone except me 😍🥰 i love the snarly growl it had at idle too.

That jacknife door sounds good to me. The engine is Immaculate.

Growing up in Harrison County, I remember two of these buses from this model year in the fleet serving my feeder area. At that time, all school buses had stickshifts, but this model year was the first one that the buses were ordered with emergency roof hatches.

The engine sounds exactly like the later dt466e engine and later Maxxforce DT.

Should still be a DT466 mechanical. The DT466E came out later.

What transmission this Wayne has?

Im not totally sure but I'm thinking AT545. @txstreetman pointed out to me that it doesn't sound like an MT643, which he would know a lot more about than I would haha

@@Project681 awesome place. I just sold my thomas to them yesterday... If your up there sometime look for it lol bus number 5 it was a EGLSD bus. I started to paint it for a camper and I lost the time to do it unfortunate would make someome an awesome camper.
