A scenic drive in Miami to Hollywood Beach with spectacular waterfront views and gorgeous scenery. I drive on the MacArthur Causeway, and then make my way to Florida State Road A1A, which consists of Collins Avenue to Sunny Isles Beach, Ocean Boulevard through Golden Beach, and Ocean Drive to Hollywood Beach.

Odd you should mention the resemblance to Long Beach-- LB stood in for Miami on the old Dexter series, and pretty much, "generic Long Beach" looks like "generic Miami" away from the identifiable touristy areas. Mostly how you can tell the difference is that Miami has coconut trees and Roystoneas, and Long Beach does not. LB has far more Washingtonias than Miami has, but you really have to know your palm trees... ;-)

Great video. BH and SI are the few places in South Fl with lots of fountains. BH is gorgeous. SI is about shlocky though. It reminds me of a cross of Brighton Beach, Bklyn and Las Vegas.

This is what we call, "over the river and through the woods," to get to Hollywood way we go !! Back in the DAY, when there were grand hotels and homes on Miami Beach, we used to drive up from the causeway North towards North Beach to see the chandeliers hanging in the lobbies of those grand great halls. we are talking the mid to late 1970's. It was a tourist attraction to do that drive, before the beach began to flip ever so slowly.
