10:17 mark: Ticks - Very timely for me to hear this, and to relate to your reaction when finding them. I found two on me, yesterday. Where I live on Vancouver Island (similar climate to the San Juan Islands of Washington State), ticks are a big problem, and can also carry disease. The thought of them creeps me out....

I've stayed there at Buffalo Gap Grasslands three times in the last two years. Camping on the bluff is great. The best time to go is the 3rd week in September. All the wildlife is active and it is also when the buffalo roundup over at Custer state park in the Black Hills happens.
