"Take me home!" "Whoa, whoa, whoa" "That was close!" "We can do this!" With those phrases you know Ryan is having fun. There were a couple of times, however, when I thought he may be having too much fun. This is another good point for giving him high praise for these videos: he does get stuck, but not for very long. And he always tells us how he is adjusting systems to give him a better chance at success. Keep 'em coming, Ryan!

I'm thinking about getting one of these. I don't go off-road but sometimes when there's a line at the shopping mall I'd like to be able to jump the curb to beat traffic. Sure, it's $100,000 more than the car I currently drive, but think of all the time I'll save.

Here in Dubai we have the same challenge with sand dunes. Reducing Tyre pressure to 12-14 is a must. Another trick that I learnt was when you’re on a steep incline and flooring it like you were at the end of your video, if you sway your steering left to right and back about 6 inches in either direction, it gives the car more sway almost like adding to tyre track width. That has helped me get out of many situation where I tried everything and failed. Game changer!

If you live in a climate where you are going to be dealing with snow and ice frequently, you would get dedicated snow and ice tires. Not sure this is a very accurate depiction of how one would tackle this IRL.

That thing is awesome. Modern traction control is definitely cool but front and rear lockers still appear to be king. Also this is impressive on KO2s. While they’re excellent tires on almost any terrain, in slimy mud or clay those things load up instantly and have got me into trouble in the past.

Nice. I have had Jeeps, a Land Rover, an X-Terrra (don't recommend), and Toyota SUVs. All great vehicles, but I have to say one of my favorites for climbing a snowy, and/or slushy, 1/2 mile driveway in New England was the Mercedes' E class with the 4Matic traction control. No, the clearance wasn't as good but it worked through the snow like a beast.

what’s really impressive is that you did that on Ko2s. They are not really known for snow or mud performance and I personally wouldn’t have felt comfortable unless I had some KM3s for that course. Super impressed with the driver as he maximized the potential of those tires.

@@skoolynugenator1802 the K02’s are triple peak snow rated tires they’re pretty good.. but AT3W’s I find better cause of the softer compound on the rubber for the snow and they’re also cheaper. My experience driving in deep snow has taught me the first thing that will stop you is the diff of a solid axle. Once that starts plowing the snow it just piles up in front of it until you stop. With IFS, usually its higher in front so the front tires can cut the hard snow and only the rear axle will drag in it. You can almost always back out and take another run at it (as you did.) With a solid axle in front you just build a growing wall of snow in front. Once the front starts dragging with an IFS its time to turn around (if you can.) PS I would have like to see what trail control would have done. In similar conditions with even harder snow, I could get by in 4Low with rear axle lock as long as I kept the speed very slow. I was driving on top of about 2 feet of snow. It was still dragging a bit but traction could keep me going. It was a surprise to find out ATRAC was useless in these conditions. I think its because the minute it applied the brake to a spinning wheel it would just stop forward travel. When you're driving on 2 feet of snow, the last thing you want to do is spin the tires and have them dig in. I would not have tried it with a Bronco because it weighs too much. My vehicle was 4100 lbs.

What Ford need is to bring a descent PHEV version of both F150 and Bronco: driven exclusively by electric motors, leaving the ICE to only recharge the battery. This way they could slash the fuel consumption by several times, as the electric motors are way more efficient, 95% versus 25% of the combustion engine - also, vast amounts of instantaneous torque at low RPM. This also enables the ICE engine to be much smaller and operate at optimum rotation for efficiency and durability, with constant engine RPM. This PHEV implementation also enables to utilize a way smaller battery comparing to a BEV - a fraction of what the Lightning have, reducing both cost and weight.

Nice. Now try 13% grade with same snow, and 2"of ice for a base. Much tougher. Only way I was able to do that was with chains. Put chains on the front and let her buck. Mind you I did it with our Bronco Sport. That is our driveway when spring hits. Thankfully I am able to use a dozer to clear it off when those conditions hit. The test you presented were less than what it's capable of doing. But thanks for a great video.

Just like the new 2022 tundra trd pro looks WAYYY better in black to hide the huge grill and huge front end that sticks out a lot, this bronco looks way better blacked out as well and let’s those giant obnoxious fender flares blend in much better with the rest of the body and design. With the lighter brighter colors, those black fender flares stick out and stand out like shaq’s sore thumb. They just look off and looks like an unfinished design in the brighter colors but looks great on this one but I’ve always preferred blacked out vehicles.
