@@chrissy138 disney acquired it, and after a few years decided to kill it to replace it with a mobile game where it felt like everything exciting was locked behind a subscription. it didn't go well, the mobile game lasted less than two years.

And Disney was constantly changing hands with owners so they decided to cut off support for it. I have found a shirt recently that had the ending message on it. It gave me a bit of closure on this but I just wish they would re-release this game.

@@asteri8022 was shut down after 15 years of uptime, speculations are of security issues, but I genuinely believe it was just because the game was getting old and outdated, it still used Adobe Flash and I guess Disney just thought it’d be a good time to shut down the servers.

Heh. I remember this game back in 09-10. I'd get home from school and get on this game for hours with friends. I remember hearing this game was shutting down when I was in the Army, and unfortunately my account had been deleted after being inactive for so long, but I still hopped back on just to experience the nostalgia one last time.

Actually, I used to play this game in 2013. I made some friends and the next day after Club Penguin had discontinued, I cried for 5 hours. It was so sad that something You have been together for like 4 years, it just... falls apart... Even after 6 years, it feels nostalgic. Goodbye (original) Club Penguin, we will never forgive you. ❤WADDLE ON FOREVER!

JulianIsH00T ..I’ve been playing it for a WHILE, I couldn’t see the message because I was going out at that day, so I couldn’t play that day, also what if the people didn’t read the message? I used to play this when I was 9 till like 12 , now iam 22 all the friends we made online people from different countries enjoying in our igloos , dancing , chasing moderators , fighting sensi , messing with the polar bear guy with Gary , tipping iceberg , sliding from mountains , dodging items in river , making pizzas , Grinding to find websites clicking ads to get free membership , all those memories still deep in my heart , I hope all my friends whose name I don’t know are doing well ❤.
