Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) is one of the most important vitamins that plays a role in nerve functions, energy production, insulin functions and many other areas. A diet rich in carbohydrates, alcohol use, and many medications can cause Vitamin B1 deficiency. Deficiency may present with symptoms such as digestive problems, energy problems, fibromyalgia and widespread body aches, problems with nerve functions, depression and forgetfulness.
