The last time a Targaryen Queen came with a dragon alone, she charmed the Lord of Winterfell and the Night's Watch. She helped the North and the women with it, all without the King's help. Queen Alysanne would've been proud of Daenerys.

As much as I hated S8, this moment was cool. Dany was arriving to Winterfell, to looks of distrust and apprehension from the locals. But as soon as her children flew overhead she grew more confident in herself. She had so few people she trusted/could trust, and no family (Jon being a special case) to love, only her dragons who loved her unconditionally. She looked to her children for strength and found it. #fuckD&D

All that’s missing is my underrated bb Viserion. I feel like they shouldn’t have killed any of the dragons off bc now drogon is alone brother-less and mother-less ;(

At least Sansa was consistent. Her first reaction to the dragons was “I don’t want these things here” because she saw Dany as a threat to her goal to make the North an independent kingdom. All her actions thereafter was to defeat that threat. But Arya on the other hand admired Aegon’s sister wives, was in awe of the dragons when she saw them, and should have been a natural ally of Dany’s. Instead they made her turn against Dany without justification.

Danny was flexing so much in that scene 😂 she knows her dragons inspire fear and respect and she knew people would be, if not terrified, at least awestruck. And she's clearly enjoying that attention they're getting. Strutting her stuff while her dragons look effortlessly badass

I replayed this scene a thousand times..the sound track that went along with it is just majestic(its usually d same when she's flying her dragon)...the proud mama smile on daenerys was everything..the people's reaction ..haha its just epic🤣 (like they are realising now that indeed she was d mother of dragons😂 "oh soo its true she had dragons!😲😯😳..😂😂..and the movement of the horse with D on it matches the background music too..haha

The sad thing is, we get no interaction of Arya with anyone from Dany's entourage. In the books she learns different languages, befriends the common folk and is fascinated with Essos. She is observant and pragmatic, even in this series. Heck she was trained in her arts by a Bravosi and Lyseni. Her dire wolf was named for the Dornish queen from Essos, she was fascinated by the lore of dragons and Targaryens. And this season she and the north came off as more xenophobic rather than cautious. Its the moral of this series, the underdogs sticking together and rising up to be the saviours in a world that doesn't appreciate them. The wildlings, an outcast foreign queen, a little girl, an ugly female knight, a stunted dwarf, a cripple and a bastard. Looking past society's preconceptions and seeing their true value. If the North is described as being rightly cautious of Targaryens, judging Dany by her family' actions, couldn't she do the same and condemn the north for overthrowing her family, murdering children, forcing her into tortuous exile. The writing screwed up this dynamic when they had Dany claim perpetuity of Northern ancestors oaths while also asking for them not to judge her by her fathers actions. But that was initial meetings, season 8 should have moved past this and focused on Cersei as the Mad Queen and the united cause of the underdogs who were mistrusted by the realm finally saving everyone.

Wouldn't it be cool if drogon had the power to resurrect Dany and she came back and kicked everyones ass

Such a shame Arya and Daenerys never had a conversation. In S2 she told Tywin how much the Targayrens and their dragons fascinated her and it’s clear in this scene she’s in awe by the might of the dragons so to not have a conversation with the mother of dragons was disappointing

Whilst writing made this season divisive when taken as a story; the cinematography, visuals, acting and sound are all so on point, individual scenes still feel so compelling when taken purely as spectacle.
