Four motors are treated as one, thus the four motor signals are running to each ESC. Thus each signal wire is split into 4 parallel leads for each ESC. In effect, each arm of the Quad acts like one big motor.

I think in the future everyone will be rolling on skateboards tethered to giant drones. What if you put a tx in the handle thing so that you could ride the skateboard and fly the drone at the same time?
