Jasper is a natural working cattle. I really enjoy watching him work. He just knows when to push. Where to line up and when to hang back. And he has the confidence to do the same work as the men on a smaller mount. The cows don't try and act crazy just because he's on a pony. My prediction someday he'll be doing the work of 3 all by himself.

10 year's is the best age- you don't have any fear and if you love horses you get the feeling for them very fast. I started with 8 year's, too. But I was not so lucky to grow up on a farm and I did not have this kind of good horsemanship with 10 year's. Sweet 🙋🇦🇹❤️🐎

ROFL ... calves trying to sneak out with the horses. And the horses somehow know it's not about them today. The overhead drone and the gate views make it clear how much the horse is doing. Great filming!

Gismo is a cute stocky little pony. Even I would enjoy riding him. Luckily I don't weigh over 110 lbs so I think he wouldn't mind it at all.

Well then you don't mighty fine job but that drone to good looking shot Hansen is done amazing job for Jasper He's a real little cowboy and Hansen is amazing man to do what he does with him horses with the kids with the cows and everything he is a true cowboy behind a good cowboys always a good cow woman so thank you for the drone footage I really enjoyed it and keep them coming down I'm sick I can't get out of the house That's all or anything that I got so thank you from the bottom of my heart

The perspective of the drone footage is great, it gives a much better view of what everybody in the yard is doing at one time. Your editing is really smooth and the panorama shots are beautiful.

How do you guys know what days to ware chaps/leggins and when not to ware them? Is it easier to sort Cattle or Horses? Where is Jerry, why is he not helping the guys? Well Done there Conner working the gate while sorting cattle.

Henson wears his leggings everyday. They’re always with him. Horses move way faster… so maybe cows

I was there when we started branding but I had another 2 groups of cattle to attend to and water along with getting some horses off the railroad while they gathered and sorted. It’s great to have a good team that works together

Oh Danielle, you don't have a bad view! That was cool to see, but having the ground level shots are great too. Are you kidding? Sorting cattle is the best thing in life on horseback! Whether it's sorting pairs or Ranch Sorting, nothing more fun.Nice work by all. Kinda of been going through withdrawals for videos though.😁

I'm not a horse person obviously but I love horses and I really would like to understand between bit and bitless does the bit hurt them or make it easier to control them I'm really curious and really would like to know your opinion a bit or bit less and what would you prefer and why

A harsh bit in the wrong hands could hurt- even a halter can hurt if enough pressure is used. We like bits and think of them as a tool. We like the philosophy of using the lightest pressure possible whether in the mouth or leg pressure. Just because someone is riding bit less doesn’t mean they’re a better horseman.

I am seeing some ranchers using ATVs now instead of horses, what do you think about that ?

To each their own. We like to make good horses so that’s why we’re always horseback. There are also times when an ATV is better/easier/more convenient for the job.

Personally I think it sucks. I realize they usually do it to save time or don't have enough good help, but it makes the cattle so much easier to handle when they are worked on horseback, BY GOOD horseman.
