I had a feeling welding the blade would be a problem but we live and learn, something I should have said last time, try welding on an old scrap blade and see what happens before moving on to the new one, there's a bit of advice for anyone in the future 😉 I always get nervous hammering on castings, you never know if they are going to suddenly crack! But it's coming along nicely, one of those things you just can't rush.
