My brother has the 2.5 lb davidson defense trigger in his creedmoor and he loves it. I run the Larue MBT-2S in my 308 and creedmoor.

I went back and viewed the BCA barrel issues, no actual cause of inaccuracy except that it was barrel(and several viewers reported similar issue), did you ever borescope it looking for flaws, chamber concentricity or try it without the muzzle brake(in case fouling happened), if I remember you had said originally it liked(I didn't see what grouping was though) the gold dot ammo but then later it didn't? I'm scratching my head about that grouping where first five were 2.5 inches but second five went to >5 inches(but they did seem to stay centered on POA?), can always use it to fireform your brass for reloading I guess? Maybe would be good as night time self defense gun-sorta like a shotgun-haha,, end of day glad you found a good barrel for the rifle.(probably spent much more than the $89 the barrel cost trying to get it to work)

Good question IMHO its a CRUTCH. No it is not "NECESSARY". But yes they are nice. I actually like the Larue trigger. NOT a cassette style.

I need that lyman scale, I cheaped out and got some on amazon, the first was a spring type but it stopped at 15 lb and some of my double actions are closer to 18, which I didn't know so then got a electronic cheapo, seems consistent but doesn't have the features of the lyman, the 'stick'part is the failing, it's a separate piece so I'm sure to lose it, also just had small plastic over the tip which tore off in first 10 uses and tends to slide off trigger , buy once cry once , sob sob

I'm starting a 8.6 build as well. Leaning towards a 12" barrel.

You didn't mention it but did any have adjustable travel, pre and post and variable sensitivity like rifle match triggers do? Looked like they didn't.

seems like a drop in trigger benefits the polymer lower as far as all pieces held in the housing, less chance of future loosening?

Dude, if the barrel is the culprit, instead of chopping it, just get a cmmg .22 kit and make a badass .22 ar! The spiral fluting is too pretty to chop.
