Almost 8 years my grandma's been gone. She was my best friend for many years, and she was a proud Irish woman. It's been almost a year since I've gotten a tattoo to honor her memory; a sapphire (her birthstone) in the middle of a purple rose (her favorite flower).

This song has become my family theme. I've taught it to my 5 yo son. And every time we listen to it he goes through all the rose tats on my body and names every family member that each flower is for.

About 3 months ago a friend of mine from high school,who I hadn't seen in a looong time got a hold of me and we met for lunch and he told me about the band and this song. Lost my mom just a month ago. She was suffering in the hospital while I was at sea. The pandemic made it so difficult for me to go back home but I'm glad I made it before she died.
