I was thinking the same as you, but as first comment said, it's been confirmed Kratos is the main character. Also, why WOULDN'T you look forward to a GoW game? Sure, everyone was afraid that it was going to be the same thing as the other games -yet again-, but even so, GoW games are pretty hype.

As a John Williams fan, I was not a fan when Hans Zimmer started the trend of modern film composers including needless and poorly placed electronic fluff in their music instead of good melody lines and interesting harmonies and textures. Although, I recently saw a performance of Hans Zimmer recently in Orlando about Interstellar and science behind it, with the music meant to be a representation of the ideas presented in Interstellar. And I was massively impressed. It was by far the greatest concert I had ever attended. Yes, it was electronic, but my God was it impressive. He used real instrumentation blended with electronic sounds, but not in the generic way we heard before. It was proper use of the sound, and it made something I don't think I had ever heard in my life. So, I don't hate Hans Zimmer anymore (although, I used to like him in the 90's and early 2000's). But regardless, I still want us to go return to the school of a full orchestra and use of great sounds, not generic horns and strings and electronic sounds. Hopefully we start getting a better trend soon.

There's plenty of 60fps games on normal ps4. The issue is that that AAA studios want to push graphics over playabilty for some weird reasons and the "average" gamers are also ok with that. At least they could give us an option for 720p60 or 1080p30.

The games you saw were running on PS4s so they are already doing that. Obviously you won't see God of War level graphics on PSVR games (at least not with such massive environments), but PSVR is already working and many titles are looking kick ass.

It's okay to be excited for a CoD game, dude. It's not a franchise I'm normally into, but I'm down for well done space battles and sci fi.

HongKongPhooey89 Well for me, the problem is that I don't think it deserves the title of Call of Duty. That series became a shell of it's former self after Call of Duty went modern warfare and started the Modern Military Shooter genre. Plus, despite my negative opinions of CoD 4, I understand that many current Call of Duty fans hold CoD 4 as the beloved game in the series, and the last thing I want to do is support their terrible business practice of only being able to get CoD 4 if you pre-order Infinite Warfare. And lastly, I was disappointed mostly because Call of Duty these days has a certain pedigree. You don't expect many changes, you just expect the annual release of CoD with the same formula. I'm not a fan of the scripted sequences and silly fanfare that the series does currently, so instead of getting what I thought was going to be something like an interesting space combat (capital ship fighting, space dogfighting) with action FPS gameplay, we get CoD. I'm not saying it's going to be a bad game necessarily, but given that the games don't really do anything I enjoy as of late, I will not be planning to buy the game on day one anymore, and I would rather wait and watch review content about the game first before even considering picking it up.

Look at it like this. It doesn't matter what the title of the game is, as long as the game itself is fun, then I'm down. I have never been excited for a CoD game release, but this one actually got me interested, more than interested in fact. It's okay to be excited for it. Now, if you're not interested in the game because what they showed was just not your cup of tea, then that's fine too. I'm just saying, give it a chance (not saying buy it definitely, cuz I won't until I see much more of it, but just give it a chance)

ComanderScar Oh, I will, definitely. And don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVED what they showed on stage. What worries me is that the rest of the game won't be representative of what they showed (of course, it's E3, expect no less; remember Watch_Dogs). But like you said, it's important we give it a chance. And I will; I will give it the benefit of the doubt. I will just be cautious, wait for reviews, and see if it's worth picking up.

That label simply means that you are looking at a single image rather than a stereo one. It is just a label to point out that you will not see the full effect of wearing the VR headset (such as depth) because there is no way to convey that on a 2D image.

When it says "Adjusted for non virtual display", they also mean that you can view it from one eye, rather than seeing what both eyes see. As far as graphic fidelity goes, VR will either have to downres what each eye sees or simply lower the quality of the game, as it's rendering over twice. I mean, the Resident Evil 7 Demo is a bit of a cheater as it looks a lot better compressed than at full resolution, what with the textures looking cheap up close.

+kfzofa the normal PS4 can do 60fps. It just depends on how much the developer puts into how it runs vs graphics. MGSV, Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection, Last of Us and Tomb Raider all run at 60fps
