@scottishcountryball8751, and to think Emily Schwalen (said to be an avid swimmer) went down that tunnel to her death after swimming too close to it when the water was high and she held on for ~20 mins to the edge but was eventually pulled down into the abyss.... Some speculated as to whether she had a death-wish or was just curious as witnesses claimed they saw her swim towards it.

It didn't crack because it likely slid down the concrete wall into the long sweeping curved section. You can see the phone end up against the wall after it dropped.
