He died from the SEAL cadre neglecting his medical care. I really see no reason why the steroid use is even apart of this story. Of course our elite soldiers are juicing. That is not a secret and never has been. PEDs should be prescribed to our combat arms personnel. This is a story about the Navy trying to defer blame to “drugs bad” instead of people scrutinizing the training, or lack of medical care that was provided to this guy. What a sad story and pathetic attempt at shifting blame.

Who cares about the drug use. War is unfair and our SEALS should be physically prepped as much as possible. What does matter is why he didn't get the medical attention he should have gotten. That aspect is outrageous. Coughing blood all week and dying of pneumonia at 24 is bizarre. Poor man.

It's actually not that bizarre, in BUD/S training they spend so much time (hours on top of hours on top of hours) underwater in different conditions, which can cause fluid build up in the lungs. Taking steroids already wrecks your immune system because they're immunosuppressive, add the fluid build up and open water full of bacteria, it's a recipe for pneumonia.

@@xlxl1762 Hell Week is not the hardest part. Phase 2 is when they do underwater evolutions and if trainees are not comfortable in water they will quit or get dropped from the program. They have to swim 5 1/2 miles in the night in the cold with full gear with sharks and do it at a specific time or fail. You have so many evolutions underwater that Seals that passed hell week in phase 1 get dropped or quit on phase 2. Things get harder after hell week because they add more and expect more from you. During Naval Aircrewman Candidate School in Pensacola, We had to do the mile swim in full flight gear with helmet and boots in a swimming pool during the day and they give 1 hour. We were dead after the swim. I can't imagine 5 1/2 miles at night in the ocean with limited time and knowing there are sharks in the water. Seals training is very rough.
@xlxl1762
@xlxl1762 Жыл бұрын
@@deathfire096 you gave me all of that info, and with all due respect I didn’t ask for it nor nowhere in my comment said that hell week was the hardest either. The dude’s original comment talked about mindset, and I said if the dude passed hell week I believe his mindset was in the right place, on that “no quitting mindset”. The dude died after hell week when he was comfortable, not on training. His body just couldn’t keep up. Ain’t that what seals are supposed to be? Fight till the very end? His mind was in the right place but his body just couldn’t keep up and gave up. Idk why the original guy that commented acting like all you need is mental strength to pass BUD/s because like you said, most of them fail in that swim, specially the one where they tie the knot underwater and make you fix it. And there’s one of those knots that is going to be impossible that’s when you come up, but if the instructor said that wasn’t it well better luck next time. And there’s only a couple of chances you get before you get dropped. So that disproves the dude’s comment with “it’s all about mental strength”

I’m surprised that he was spitting blood for days and I doubt the trainers would ignore that when they are high rank enlisted Seals and they have medics all the time near the training and inspecting the trainees after a evolution especially hell week when they get 2 hours max of sleep. In order to be successful in those "elite" type schools, your heart, mind and soul has to be truly in it. You really have to want it. There's No complaining, No comfort, No questioning the cadres on "Why" youre doing certain events. You accept the beat-down and anticipate some more. Forget sleep, chow, loved ones. Those comforts are just crutches. It will be grueling and unforgiving and it wont let up. Your ass better accept the continuous suckage and should be asking for more. Remember, it's not about you. It's about your Team. They're sucking also. They're giving 110% just like you should be. Getting beat up and dealing with the bullshit just like you are. As they complete each course/phase/evolution, your ass better be abreast of them Before you even attend, you must be physically and mentally fit. Your finances and family must be in order; those things are not of a concern to the cadres. You should be working out almost every day and eating right way before your start date. Double your protein and carbs. Gain muscle mass yet strenghten your cardio. Youll lose mass which is done through the long hard events and constant running. Engage in physical activities that you've never done before: Swim with clothes on, climb ropes, run steep hills, work out into the wee hours of the night. Do it with a 30lb, 50lb, 70lb pack. Rest then repeat. Remember tho, Work out hard without injuring yourself. Second guessing or questioning why you allow yourself to get abused in these rigorous type training, can cause you to be unsuccessful. Don't do it. Remember why you volunteered to be there. In the end tho, when you've graduated, you look back at it with pride and a big sigh of relief. The right of passage is upon you. But the suckage won't be over. COMBAT CULINARIES LEADS THE WAY!!! YAAAAY☺️👐

That’s the problem clear across the military, not just in the SEALS. They hand off these soldiers to medics that think they’re know it alls or think that the medical condition isn’t serious enough and send them back through training and this is never mind the fact that they only got BASIC medical training and came into the military with only a HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA and didn’t go to medical or nursing school. Training instructors, drill instructors, etc are the same way too except they get some run through of what a recruit could be suffering from and oftentimes they’re dead wrong and won’t pull them from training.

The guys joining the Seals are not kids, they are grown adults. The instructors, everyone there will give you every opportunity to quit, they will even encourage it, but they will rarely force anyone to quit. The guys get sick and will refuse to go to the hospital, because chances are they won't go back to training. The drugs didn't show up in his system, that really doesn't mean anything, he was storing drugs and syringes in his car for other people to use? This is a tragedy, anyone that has the desire to serve, especially in one of the hardest fields you can choose, and to pass away in training is horrible. But we really need to remember, the cadre is not baby sitters. I do agree, and from my understanding, it is normal procedure for the recruits/trainees to have someone check in on them every hour after hell week. Why that wasn't done, I don't know. Here is another thing, he may have been refusing medical treatment because he was afraid he would have tested positive for the drugs. That is our mentality nowadays, little Timmy has an ouchie, better get him to a hospital, there is no time to worry about terrorists or killing the bad guys.

What If they're caught in enemy hands, and they drug the SEAL? You're gonna hope they have some kind of tolerance of drugs I'd think. But stroids? Makes your bones brittle, makes you more susceptible to other infections. Breaks down emotional control and lack of focus. A SEAL team cannot, and should not retain recruits that have been given, or took PED's. Aren't drunken sailors enough? Puking up beer is one thing, but puking up blood? Too competitive for most.

Steroids do not make your bones brittle. In fact, there have been hundreds of studies that show steroids actually increase bone density quite a bit.

Acts 2:38 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 4:12 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. John 3:16-18 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 14:6 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Matthew 7:21 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Titus 3:5 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Matthew 19:25-26 25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” 26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Water Baptism will not save you . Acts 2:38 does not apply today. The Gospel found in 1st Corinthians 15: 1-4 applies today. It is essential to righty divide the bible. Look up Robert Breaker on KZfaq . He has videos showing from the bible , that water baptism does not save you. May the grace of Jesus Christ be with you.

I see nothing wrong with the military using PED's. As a matter of fact, I prefer them on PED's because I want the most badass warriors to be fighting my battles. PED's should be mandatory for special ops. So did he die from covid? Seems like this story has absolutely nothing to do with steroids 🤷🏻‍♂
