To all those struggling with drug addiction, or just any addiction in general, I hope this persuades you and reminds you to get help which you deserve, you deserve to live a life without the pain and hurt, and please remember that you are incredibly loved by alot of people and things can get better

I set my alarm and I’m watching this with tears streaming down. Both my parents were alcoholics, I lost my mum in 2011 and my dad in 2014. I’m now 26 and I’m expecting my first child in June… it never gets easier and i wish they were here to experience this with me. I need to thank you for shinning a light on addiction, it can honestly effect anyone and we need to talk more about “taboo” subjects. Thank you Syd, I’ll be watching the documentary when it’s out. X P.s my Nan also brought me up from the age of 8. Nans are so incredibly special, just like yours ❤️

Wow.After hearing Syd mention this for years and seeing how she truly loved her mother no matter how long she was in her life i really appreciate her and her family for being strong for others and coming forward on their experience of addiction and showing that yes, the negative and dangerous sides of drugs are shown for the person doing them however it also impacts that those who didnt take them but witnessed a loved one slowly "put the drugs first". You never truly heal from these types of things and she probably is still hurting alot alongside her family members yet still came forward to raise awareness and speak about it because she knows it isnt just her going through it and that she has a platform she can use to let others know they arent alone and there are people that relate to them and that she and her family are an example of the other side of drugs.It also is so impactful becuase those doing drugs may not even be aware on the impact it has on those who love them but this documentary they can see how much it hurts and how much suffering it can cause.Amazing.Really and truly amazing.I got goosebumps and just watching this 2 min clip and seeing those tears fall from Syds eyes made me shed a few of my own.I am so proud of you syd.You are so strong.Your whole family is.Well done, We love you all
