This song is very difficult. I didn't intend to come across as condescending at all in this tutorial in any way but I think I may have at times. Thanks for the tutorial; it was just the boost I needed to round out this groove. The slowed down bit and the explanation will definitely help me feel this out a lot better. I think I actually have it quite close from watching the main cover, but seeing it slowed down more I know the piece that I'm missing. Can't wait to get back on the kit! Once I get this down pat, I'm going to send a video reply of me playing the groove -- maybe have my kid hold my phone or something. This way you can definitely get something back, and see the pay off from your hard work. Thanks again man!

I'm with you on trying to learn by ear, even though at times it can be a pain in the butt. It'd be cool to learn more about drums, so more of these tutorials would be a nice bonus. btw I just watched your original cover and it was amazing.

That fill is mostly just RLRL pattern fills preceded by double bass hits. It's kind of hard to explain but I'm sure if you watch my cover you'll be able to figure it out. I don't think I'm gonna be able to record a video just on that fill though. I'm happy the video helped, good luck learning the song!

Hey, i dont know if someone already asked but i'm curious about your sticking in the main double bass part on the cymbals. Do you just start with left and alternate afterwards? Greetings, keep on doing covers :)
