One of Chris Turner's more amazing talents is keeping that hat attached to the top of his head.

The entirety of this album is inspired by Japanese culture. The odd musical sounds you hear in this album is music the band actually deeply delved into to create a historical and modern Japenese vibe in this album. For example, "Benzaiten" is probably the heaviest/slowest song on the album. However the sound has a very distinct Japanese persona to it and it's quite an awesome sound. In my opinion this band creates a more modest and versatile form of Metal, all the while staying relentless yet super melodic. Couldn't ask for more! The amount of ways a person can play with instruments in this specific genre of rock/metal to me is a much larger spectrum than regular radio rock, rock and roll, plain metal, etc... Hardcore/Metal like this is, to put simply more sublime and free willed. Personally, In most genres of rock the "Double Bass" is not even a thought in the mind for the musicians. Not that it's needed obviously but if you're style cant even allow the sound without ruining your original sound. The music is sadly restricted and not that its bad, your sound is just not able to be toyed with as much without ruining your band and essentially becoming a new one. This is what most people end up calling a "Sell out"... Happy to see most have enjoyed this, Great video dude glad to see they made it here 💯💯💯 Much love to Oceans 🌊💯💙

I'm sure I red Chris Turner was a jazz drummer originally. Thrash, speed, heavy and new metal have a lot more similarities in terms of techniques with Jazz drumming than any other styles
