I think the reason Band Maid can experiment with so many rock sounds is that Kanami IS A GENIUS. She can bend any genre to her will.

I'm an old man and I have seen a lot of wonderful things and a lot of shit as well. That happens when you live your life. This band brings so much joy and emotion to me by their talent, their skill, and, of course, their performance. Band Maid, simply put, brings me so much joy and perspective on life, even at my age.

Agreed! I do not think most realized how rare this band is and to be alive to experience this band in the present. It is criminal that this band is relatively obscure. I really hope they are illuminated to the level they deserve.

Uffff... I finally found the time to watch it! The last days were crazy for me, no time to enjoy music at all... I knew you would love the acoustic portion. Everybody recommends this performance to those who enjoy Saiki's vocals. She is really an amazing singer. "Puzzle" is my favourite here, but did you notice Saiki was crying in "Anemone"? The lyrics in both songs are really touching. The next part will be heavy again, but then you'll see the OMAJINAI TIME... probably for the first time in your life, I guess? "Omajinai Time means Magic Spell time" 😍 There should be a version with English subs somewhere, I'm not sure. But for me, even without translation, it's fascinating. You will see why people adore Miku so much. She is not only a great singer and a solid rhythm guitarist, she is, first and foremost, just a great entertainer. And of course, the founder of the greatest rock band of the early 21st century 🥰🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊

This is why i love this band. They can rock like hell, then turn around with an acoustic guitar and 2 angelic voices and gently rip your heart out. Astounding !

Saiki is like a locomotive. It takes her a minute to get up speed, but once she's rolling, she can't slow down. Also, Saiki won't scream due to her vocal surgery.

Indeed, we have to thank these prior reactors & earlier fans for spreading a talent that we later fans might have not been made aware of if it were not for them. There are millions of talent out there that have been shed light on thanks to the Internet & KZfaq (lets not forget the invention of electronics & computers). And there are even more talent out there waiting to be discovered. This is why companies who promote bands on KZfaq should not have to block & strike reactors because reactions help spread free advertising on these bands, which in return could help bring more profits to these label companies & their bands.

Kanami ALWAYS know what type of solo best serves the song and the moment. It's about serving the piece, not promoting herself. (However, it's always nice when she can cut loose, leading some people to say, "She can do THAT?!"...to which the only possible answer is "uh, YEAH!").

Musically- 2016-18 is their best period- period. Hard rock at it's very best with plenty of unpredictable moments from the band, particularly in Kanami's solo's, which are missing from their current attempts at being more metal. They need to slow down and create more magic moments like they do here. The intro chimes at the beginning of the acoustic section is taken from the second song Anemone.

Saiki doesn't scream but she uses a bit of grit in their faster, harder songs, especially when she gets excited. "Scream" is Miku's speciality, but not the growl kind of scream. If you like a bit of metalcore scream, Nemophila is the band to check out. I'm sure Band-Maid can write metal-core fusion, but still with pop-sensibility. There are still different sides to Band-Maid you haven't explored yet. You will find them out in good time😊 Glad you enjoyed it.

Super unimportant note: there is a group of Zepp music halls that generally all go by the name Zepp plus the city they are in. Zepp Tokyo, Zepp DiverCity, etc. So, "at Zepp in Tokyo" is very, very slightly phrased wrong. Loving this set of videos, and the album reactions. Thank you.

I think "Puzzle" is their greatest song. If you track down a translation of the lyrics it's about a broken romance from the point of view of the jilted party. This quiet acoustic version is a lament. The channel you got this Zepp Tokyo performance from has been terminated by KZfaq, probably due to the pirated videos. Band-Maid only relesed "Real Existance" and "onset" from this show to their official KZfaq channel. The only other sources for the full concert would be the bluray/dvd release or through Band-Maid's streaming service, Band-Maid Prime, which is behind a paywall.
